Just a touch of oxy in the juice, which had flattened the vibrancy and depth of this usually-great-after-age wine, one of our favorites for many years. Still, the base fruit could be enjoyed, if not in an optimal way. Didn't last overnight for the next day.

I love Paradigm, but this bottle was off. Probably the age, but really lacked the usual power and boldness, and the finish was pretty much non-existent. I take the blame on this one for not drinking earlier.

Not bad but I expected more. This was a magnum (decanted for 2 hours) and the wine was incredibly dark with a lot of acid that seemed to be blocking the fruit. Perhaps it needed more time.

Nice, classic Oakville Cab from Paradigm. Medium bodied and ruby colored, and has a silky texture with its tannins fine and well integrated, this wine still displayed some bright fruit an has medium to medium fast legs and finishes just a little short.

Popped and poured. This had an acidic grip when first opened, but after about 30 minutes the wine seemed to integrate fully. This is not an overly fruit driven wine, but that does not mean that the fruit is not there. Everything is in a wonderful balance and drinking beautifully with a short decant. This seems to have life ahead of it, as the acid and tannin backbone are still there.

Yummy, good stuff here. Pretty darn concentrated, and the tannins are still perhaps a bit heady, but there is a ton of cab fruit (California style, nothing French about this) barreling on through. Lots of black fruits on the attack, but then a really strong strawberry comes lumbering on forward. No earth tones, nothing chocolatey, no coffee or saddle leather present here. Perhaps ever so slight a hint of asphalt lingering in the background, but for the most part a very fruity California Cabernet. My gut tells me this has another three to five years in it, but it is drinking so superbly right now I really don't see much reason to wait. Haven't had a California cab this nice in quite some time. Awesome! (I considered giving it 93 points, but I'm rarely that generous).

This is a very nice wine. We drank this over two nights with similar showing both nights, although the wine showed slightly better on night two with a bit more mellow finish. Great nose of cassis and dark fruits with a hint of cedar. The flavors are in keeping with the nose, but adding a hint of vanilla and oak. The wine was a fantastic pairing with NY strips. A bit of heat and a little short on the finish keep it from being an extraordinary wine.

Dark ruby/black colour; almost opaque. Aromas of vanilla, blackcurrant/cassis, figs, plums, and kirsch. Full-bodied, rich, lush, with firm tannins, and replays from nose. Moderate-long finish, ~35-40s. Drink over the next few years to enjoy the fruit.

wow.....granted it's definitely a dessert/cocktail cabernet, but this wine deserves much better scores in my view. loads of vanilla, oak and sweet fruit (no sour cherry taste for me), I really enjoyed this wine. To be fair, I had some soy/worcestershire marinated skirt steak, so the salt probably helped offset the sweetness level of the cab, but man....I thoroughly enjoyed this bottle of wine. Wish I had more to experience the evolution.

not as big as I thought it was going to be but very nice, sweet cherry attack with juicy fruit on the mid-palate and some earthy elements on the finish

Sweet black berry nose. Tannins not overpowering but complementary to nice but not overpowering fruit. This was a very nice bottle of wine but not a great cab. Smooth, sleek and very tasty.

Very little on the nose compared to the other Cabs of the evening. Sour fruit, possibly cherry, but so faint it was almost nil. The palate was a bit boring, but the smoky tar flavor came through on the finish. Very light tanins after 45 minutes of decanting. Cannot imagine this will get much better.

Could smell the oak at first. Let it decant for 2 hours. Smoke/tobacco. Good cab character. A bit too much vanilla for me, but nice sour cherry. I have another bottle and will revisit in a couple of years

taste: nice sour fruit on the mouth with cranberry being the main flavor. Still, that's about it and there isn't all that much in teh way of secondary flavors on the mouth
overall: tight tannins with a nice finish. The wine itself is a bit closed right now and may have entered a slight dumb phase. c'est la vie

Big nose, lends itself to rich black fruits, sweet, ripe, liqueur...full-bodied, sweet tannins, delicious finish - that goes on and on. This is a fine Cabernet Sauvignon! Delicious.

Another excellent wine from Paradigm. Very fruity with few tannins so I don't know how well it will age. Decanted for an hour and it was just excellent.

Light fruit on the nose, wild blueberry. Perceived high acid and lower concentration with a thin and alcholic presence. I tried Corte Riva and Beckmen before this and I think this was the problem. When i returned to it towards the end of the night the wine was alot better and noticably thicker. I think the Beckmen had alot to do with this.

Had after a 2003 Pride Reserve. This held its own. Still some bold fruit. It had been well cellared since purchase.

Still drinking nicely, but nearing its end and no benefit to be gained from further aging. Licorice predominates in the mouth.
