The CT aging window says this wine is several years over the hill, but don't believe it. Like the Energizer bunny, this baby is keeps on going. There's still gobs of fruit, and wonderfully balanced structure. It may be peaking now, but it's definitely not too old.

Red fruit upon opening yields to tobacco with just the slightest hint of sage; medium finish. More merlot than we're used to as cab drinkers, but very nice. Tannin reserve nearing its end; so enjoy-enjoy-enjoy! This is a very nice bottle of wine at this price point. We purchased an 02/03/04 mixed case at the winery...the winemaker described this 02 as the most bordeaux-like of the lot. I notice that the CellarTracker drinking window ended at 2009 for this wine, but it was fine & should be so into first half of 2011 no problem.

Underwhelming, but better with food; consumed with pasta; mild fruit with mineral and dried herb flavors. Hard to place, a mutt wine. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petite Sirah.

Like the name says. Merlot in character but more complex than that. Current flavors and a hint of cedar on the finish. For those Cabaholics it's something that can be a lighter alternative.

Lists as way beyond its window but that's not what I found. Wish I had more.

Let it sit for 45 minutes, deep fruit, smooth finish after sitting.

Yummy! Big heavy wine, more merlot than cab, complex and nice with dinner but great to sip by the fire. Nice sediment. Drink now!

Much better than last bottle. Big, bright red fruit taste with a medium finish.
