It is hard to not like this wine. There is a stepped up freshness and intensity to the combination of fruit flavors. It seems that the grape growing, and wine making are in very nice harmony with place of origin. We bought this to be a simple, easy to drink thirst quencher at 5 PM, at which it excelled. The nose is quite floral for a sparkler, then we get some of that bread dough yeast aroma. There color is golden, like Chardonnay. The fruit is pretty complex with orange peel, and nectarines side by side with sweet apple and of course, lemon. Maybe a little sweet. Rich and full in the mouth. Refreshing acidity. Even some wet stones, or minerals.

A bit stinky and reductive, a touch of higher dosage I am being told, and a touch of Chardonnay. You feel the dosage but it rides along ok. Ok at $12.99, better at $9.99.

nose: not particularly intense, there was some light cracker aroma behind peach fruit palate: not bad. I'm not usually a fan of cava, but this had more interesting fruit flavors (stone fruit plus citrus plus something exotic like quince or something I don't regularly encounter) than I've come across in this genre before. The light bread note finishes a touch bitter, and there is a loose kind of sweetness that appears at warmer temperatures, but all in all this is a very nice quaff for $8-9. I would definitely recommend this for summer sipping. 86-87 pts

I tasted this at a friends 6/26/11 Paella dinner. It had a clean pleasant bouquet of lemon, bread, apple, spice and mineral aromas. The palate was crisp, clean and tasty with flavors of lemon cream, apple, spice and minerals.

Straw yellow with vigorous bubbles. Nose of bread with lemon squirted on it on a bed of crushed river rocks. Somewhat tart citrus, caramel, and a dry medium+ finish. OK, not sweet, but nothing to make me seek it out again.

Fridgewarming Syrah Tasting: In addition to the superb batch of cheeses (which were almost entirely eaten!), Kristy brought this extra sparkling wine that got opened but barely anyone tasted in the galloping rush of wines. I gave it a taste on Monday. I liked the nose of bread, stones, yeast, and citrus zest. The palate was angular in comparison, with a lemon core and some unripe peach. A nice Cava, I preferred this with a teaspoon of raspberry puree. 87-88.

This was the suggested pairing with rock shrimp cakes at a local restaurant and it was absolutely perfect. My friend and I enjoyed it so much that I picked up a couple of bottles and we have thus far had one with a picnic dinner which was enjoyable but not outstanding. I think seafood pairings is really where this one shines due to the strong lemon component.

No Xerllo (sp?) but for the life of me I can't tell that. Maybe this is what the Med. does to grapes. A bit sweaty and far out. But not bad. Has Macabeo and Parellada but I guess they think the X is inferior. Maybe they haven't listen to enough ZZ top.

Not too bad. I prefer my sparklers a bit dryer though. This is a bit sweet so if you like a little sweet action, this is a keeper. Lacks the high acid that I love. Nevertheless, mostly tropical fruit which is always nice. Dry lovers, not so much. Off dry, this is for you.

Apple aromas citrus - lemon, lime. 10mg sugar liter. Clean but a little one note. Doesn’t have much of any autolytic character - all fruit.

Nice, light, somewhat lemony and floral bubbly. Not overly complex with a citrus base, decent acidity and a medium finish. Good QPR.
