Consumed well past its prime, so not fair to rate it. It was drinkable, but lacked interest or complexity at this point. The composite cork did its job.

I enjoyed this wine every bit as much as a recent well-regarded Napa Merlot priced at $20+. Just wished I could have gotten for less than $10 like other TN writers did.

On sale at Luckys for $7, for the price very good QPR. One of the most satisfying sub $10 bottles I've had in a while. Nice earthy, black fruit nose, fruit forward, somewhat acidic taste, with reasonable body and tannins. Good with or without food.

QPR is bery good, medium body, fruit & light oak aromas, great clear redto plum color, fruit & tannins all very well integrated. Easy drinking, well balanced acid - alcohol - tannins for the body. Structured well with the cab franc & malbec, this wine is a no brainier for a Cali style lower price point Bordeaux varietal blend.

Licorice, plum, and cassis aromas. Palate is structured, leaner, with plum at the core. Slightly vegetal as it develops, with a slightly stewed, bitter finish.

I can see their point with making a Meritage blend. The combination of these varietals definitely makes some sense. Though not exactly complex, this value wine is pretty tasty. I get cherries and vanilla on the nose. The color even looks like a blend, not Cabernet, not Merlot, some where in between. The by no means overpowering fruit is adequate, but just barely. Only minimal tannins, but nice job with balancing acidity, and the alcohol integration. Soft and easy drinking. By far the best characteristic of this wine is the finish, which though not complex is quite complete with some red raspberry, vanilla, leather, graphite, and a small amount of green pepper.

Good value here. Nice Cabernet/Merlot blend, with a few other varietals thrown in. Oaky nose, dark color, very fruit-forward on the palate. Not complex, but good depth of flavor. Short finish. Simple, fruity wine for immediate consumption. Well-made and clean. Your basic every day wine. Attractive price ($9) makes this one a winner.

a bit unbalanced. Maybe it was just too young. Good nose of raspberries and sweet cherries. More than a bit of barnyard funk. I think think much petit verdot and not enough Cab franc turned me off a bit, but maybe I just had a bad bottle.

As of 8/30/12 this was my favorite blend. Better than Olf Vine Red and R Collecion #7

Nice but nothing special. Despite being a Meritage, it didn't have much complexity - just an easy-going red.

Pleasant light berry scent. Juicy cherry nicely balanced with tannins, but a little sour/bitter at the finish.

Best tasting wine from a recent blind test that I attended. It has a good bouquet of cherries on the nose, a supple taste, and nice finish.
