Very good. Light red color (almost looks like a rose). Thin legs. Oak, spice on the nose. Light Cherry flavor up front, but then a strong finish. Looks deceiving. Borders on "Delicious." Note: this is actually '09 Pellegrini BROTHERS (not in database)

Was pretty surprised to see this at my favorite local wine bar on the list by the glass. Not complaining, just thought this was outside the price range of affordable by the glass. Glad to be proven wrong. Not sure this is the best Pellegrini I have ever tasted, but definitely a big step above what we usually drink in pinot by the glass. The color is dark magenta, but we can still see our 2 fingers. True pinot nose, with some earth and mushrooms behind the strawberry fruit. On the palate we get cranberry accenting the strawberry and red raspberry. There are some significant young, almost rough tannins. Not quite medium bodied. The mid palate is slightly less than the nose and initial fruit impression suggest. but still a complete and balanced mouth full of luscious pinot we can afford. Well integrated oak and acid profile. A little tannic on the finish, but this would age out if we could put this away for a few years. Nice job.

California style. Too big for me. I like my Pinot's light and earthy, not fruity and oaky. No doubt this was basically a good wine for the money, though.

Nose: A bit lemony combined with some kind of berry or watermelon. And I know this will sound strange but the nose even has a bit of a rubber band or prophylactic smell. Taste: Light and a bit thin. An average Pinot in my opinion especially compared to Wellington's Woot Cellars D'Ontespille Le Black which I like so much better.

After receiving this from K&L's wine club I rebought, a nice cali pinot-much lighter in style compared to most and good for $14.

light color. Great perfume, bright red fruit. This was an excellent Pinot at the price point.

Very typical pinot nose. A little lemony, but that could from fingers from squeezing some on kale. Good red fruit, a little thin and hot. Average.
