Floral wooden, earthy nose - all there and very nice. Entry is lots of liquorice and dark fruit, cassis, blackberry. Complex ending with a good deal of spice an leather. This seems an easy drinker at first but builds in complexity in the glass. Well done. Still with years left. Moved back to 2028.

Deep ruby with no bricking. Twenty minutes in, rustic, some alcohol. Second day-nothing new. Elegant and silky with no fruit to speak of. Only got to first base.

Decanted about two hours before drinking. Not as much brick as most Brunello - more ruby in color. Distinct earth tones on the nose which lightened up with some time to reveal some mint and floral notes. Very well integrated bright red fruit with some tobacco and spice on the back end. Smooth finish with well integrated tannins. Drinking well now.

Clear ruby crystal color with an orange touch. Nose is quite attractive on opening, cherry skin, candied fruit with just a touch of stone. Entry is fairly light but tasty. Comes on quite fruity late mouth but not in a primary sweetness way, more cherry skins with good complexity. Nice energy to the finish with a good and well balanced tannic backbone in an herbal backdrop. This is quite nice. Elegant and refined. Very well done.

The need to decant has never been more necessary. Upon opening, hard to give this wine an 85 rating, the taste of tar being overwhelming. After a four hour decant the tannins meld into the fruit well and the presence of tar diminishes considerable.

PnP and let sit in the glass for about 5 minutes. Color is purple-red with a some fade at the edge. Aromas of cherry, eucalyptus, soil, a bit of barnyard, some savory herbs, a bit of wet asphalt. Flavors of fruit, savory herbs, a bit of heat, medium acid and medium, well-integrated tannin. Moderate legs and some lingering sweetness give the impression of a higher alcohol wine.

Black currant, earth, pepper and oak greet the nose. It is a little thin mid-palate, with medium body and noticeable alcohol. Enjoyable but a little too much heat on the finish.

Bright, forward, juicy, most nebbiolo-like wine of many Brunellos I've tried so far. Delicate nose, hints of flowers; on the palate showing almost none of porcini or stewed plum flavors, with just a hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Emphasizing sour juicy tones with hints of sandalwood. Primary but enjoyable now.

Nice rose red with orange rim. Nose closed on opening but with time a tart cherry and strawberry with earthy wood. Very strong mid weight mouth with an exceptionally long finish of tart fruit, pepper, and balsamic. A bit of austere wood also, but no vanilla. This is high acidity and fairly big. Very nice Sangiovese example. Use like a typical chianti, but I find this more refined.

Last of a 3 bottle pack.
And this one is the best.
Lovely balance in rusticity and suave sappy sweetness.

Better than previous bottle.
Nice with a steak and truffled risotto.
liked the food better than the wine, though.

This is in its drinking window. Classic Brunello profile with lots of cherry. And at 11 years, it's smooth and silky. Don't hold it too much longer.

Wow, this really overperformed! Classic Brunello: cherry, graphite, and a decent finish. Really more than I expected for the price!

Rather dark and unfortunately rather one dimensional with sour cherry and some heat at the end.

A very nice wine. Not as much of the deep mocha we appreciate in $60ish Brunellos, but very enjoyable nonetheless.

Great aromas of cow pasture and a little sour cherry. A huge wine on the palate with loads of dark cherry and earthiness. Long gripping finish.
