  • PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass at room temperature. Slight bricking in color. Nose shows wonderful mix of red fruits, earth, game. Ripe red fruit on the palate with a nice finish. The bottle was showing more open and better than bottles from last year, and puts this one squarely in the drinking window for me. A-

  • Bright ruby color. The nose is quite open, with red fruits, dried soil, and game. Great structured palate, with the fruit backed by integrated tannins with rustic undertones. Great persistence. This is a great showing for this wine.

  • I have now had 3 bottles from a well stored case and I like this wine but stop short of some of the high scores - at least right now. I have had one bottle PNP, one bottle with a 4 hour slow ox and one with a 24 hour slow ox. I would say the 24 hour was the best of the 3 due to some shutting down for the other two during the evening. Ripe cherry on open, and although this fills out with more air it to me shows much more mineral and elegance than some of the reviews I have read. Good with food, and certainly a very nice wine, it just feels more like a 1er than a GC in this vinage. Maybe in a phase, or maybe it just doesn't hit the spot for me but I do like the T-M wines very much. A-

  • Drunk as part of a 6 bottle night. The only wine not opened in advance. P&P, it smelled like we had dived into an iron mine. Surprisingly intense mineral in the nose and mouth. With time, high-toned red fruit plus tannins balance this out. Very enjoyable way to close the evening. With carpaccio from 60-day sirloin.

  • TM Mazoyeres vs Charmes Dinner.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of tertiary minerally stony earth, slightly dark ripe red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, just about high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), integrated medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of sweet spices, sweet earth, ripe red cherries, dark red cherries. Long finish with lingering sweet spice.
Very good quality. But about time to drink up this ripe vintage wine in my opinion.

  • This is not getting better vs last bottle I had. Still a good wine but not worth the price paid

  • Drank in bottle for two hours and it was a pleasure. It was a easy wine with a lot of energy.

  • Plummy red color. Expressive, airy nose with a fresh outdoors quality and smokey embers. Palate had some of that spicy, firm authority of a chambertin. Much enjoyed but a relatively ripe and fleshy expression (vintage?) maybe without the tension and vivid aromatics of a cooler year?

  • Really blossomed at 1.5-2.0 hours. Would recommend a minimum 1-1.5 hour decant.

Dried Black raspberry with a bit of tannins still in the fight and a light tannic but long finish. Can taste the wine for 30 seconds plus. Slightly on the darker fruit spectrum but has notes of raspberry, strawberry and a touch of dried rose. Not quite earthy but has notes of spice and dust. Overall a very balanced wine. Highly enjoyed it!

  • Ruby color. Inviting nose of red fruit, with a little spice. Soft and inviting palate, almost plush ending with a long finish. Great.

  • Drank at Cafe Provence on Diane's 60th. Poured and sat for an hour before drinking. Much improved over last bottle three years ago. See the hype. Full, deep, balanced with great fruit core. Could get much better yet, so wait if you can.

  • Drank with salmon grilled on cedar plank. LIked a lot at first, but didn't seem to open up over time. I have four bottles, so I was willing to try one now in spite of most notes to wait. If you only have one or two, wait at least a couple more years.

  • way to early to open but couldn't resist: berries & spices with hints of eucalyptus & fennel on the nose; silky mouthfeel with long finish - lovely
