Was a bit more advanced than expected. Peaked within 45 minutes in glass and then went downhill from there. Rec 20 minutes into decanter. And then put down in the next 2 hours.

Decanted and given 2 hours of air. Nice perfumey nose dominated by a rich sweet tobacco. Equally rich was the red fruit on the palette. Enjoyed the first glass but the full rich flavors faded from there. On day 2, not nearly as good, although still enjoyed.
This is a PNP wine now and should be drank relatively soon (within a few hours) or immediately out back in bottle to extend its enjoyment window (to day 2).

Decanted for 2 hours. Nose was quite earthy. Less fruit than previously experienced. As was the palate. I think next time a decanting to separate sediment then back to bottle is the ticket. Or decant for shorter time.

Quick decant for sediment then back into the bottle. Drank for the next 3 hours by wife and I. Absolutely singing. Hitting on all cylinders. I feel this is peak and will be good for another year or two.

Its been a few years since I tried a bottle. Found a couple in the basement while attempting to organize and decided to bring it with me to dinner. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco, a hint of cedar. The finish was moderate to long.

Consumed over two nights. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco, a hint of cedar. The second day brought out more earth tones. A really nice finish. A most enjoyable wine.

We opened at let it sit for an hour, lots of dark fruit on the nose, the palate was blackberry, red meat, sage and the very long finish brought out the taste of toffee. Glad I have more

Decanted and given a breath of air (30 minutes?) before a couple of couples went at it. Fantabulous.

Has mellowed since last tasted a year ago. 2 hour decant seemed about right. Dusty tannins, tasty. Plenty of time left, from magnum.

Rich, dense crowd pleaser for Christmas. Still tastes young and fresh, from magnum. Third vintage I’ve enjoyed.

Dark and heavy, tannins still not fully integrated. Could have aged quite a bit longer, but still very nice.
