  • Excellently strong black pepper and deep red fruit shows through on the nose. There is almost a Syrah-like smokiness to this wine, with blackcurrant, pain d’epices (spice cake), and just a dab of blackberry jam on the spin.

Smooth and rich, this wine is medium, nearly full bodied, with soft, but firmly gripping tannins. Dark berry fruit, berry bush, and soil tones make up the mid palate. Dark stone, chocolate, and menthol play around the edges, and an almost citrusy acidity shows throughout and lasts into the finish. There is a very dark quality to this wine, but it shows excellent transparency, like liquid rubies. This is a very impressive, bold but refined wine, and absolutely one worth buying.
