Nose of anise and licorice. Palate blackberry chocolate and plum. Velvety texture with a soft mouthfeel - almost shiraz-like. Medium to long finish with acidity, obvious American oak that is a little warm for my palate. Overall it's well integrated but a little over oaked? More time??

Full-bodied Cab with an initial terrific burst of jammy berries, settling into spicy prune and plum. Very important to open this wine in advance and let it breathe for at least an hour before serving. At a party of 10 wines, sampled by 16 tasters, this was the highest-scoring. Indeed, every taster scored this wine average or better, and most gave it high to very high scores. Good now, and seems suitable for cellaring, as well. Terrific value.at $20.

Quite a surprise, quite an excellent cab. Very dark, rich, deep varietal fruit in the nose. Very deeply fruited. Palate follows suit and is rounded, elegant and stylish, but with plenty of stuffing. By far the best Charles Kruger wine I have ever had. A steal, even at twice the price. Hard to find any flaw. 4-13-17-8: 92/100.

quite good. had this with ribs, paired very nicely. tannins are smooth and well integrated. mild fruit flavor, not overly complex, nice finish would buy again.

Good California Cab. This wine is a regular rotation in my rack. Drank with a spicy thai beef salad. Dark purple color. Nose of blackberry pie, vanilla and brown sugar, and some alcohol. Flavor profiles include blackberry pie, brown sugar, maybe a little raisin(?) and a hint of vanilla, some oak and a small amount of black pepper. Purchased on sale for $21. I think this wine drinks like a more expensive Napa Cab.

Full and fruity aroma right out of the bottle. hints of anise and cedar after ~15 minutes of opening up/swirling. Deep purple in color, this ones a beauty. Reccomend decanting this one by the bottle to let it breath, otherwise the tannins are overpowering.
I did not decant, instead swirled the first glass around 15 to 20 minutes. The flavor was wonderful and exploded with delicious berry flavors. I only lightly swirled the next glass from the bottle, and was disappointed. This wine needs to breath alot.

While the nose was fruity and the fore palate was deep cherry and plumb. The lingering oak finish was overwhelming for my taste. It did mellow into a more balanced wine after recorking and letting it sit overnight. I would have this one again but think it could use another 1-2 years.

Everyday CA Cabernet - high alcohol, lower tannins than comparable '07's, but still with decent structure and which opens up with some air. A bit overextracted for my tastes, but smooth and a decent sipper with a red meat based dinner.

Purple. Cocoa, oak nose that is very sweet and very modern Napa style. Soft mocha, olive, strawberry, cream soda palate. While the concentration is impressive, the soft, sweet, oak juice element is so overwhelming it's just silly. Not my kind of wine, and not really an expression of anything other than superripe fruit and new American oak. I'm being kind.

What a great wine for the price. Not only excellent potential but agree, drinking very well right now. Pom on the nose, nice fresh earth and dark fruit. Very smooth mouth feel. Nice bit of cinnamon maybe and dark cherry.

great potential to become much better although it is drinking very well right now. a mature/young cab with warm fruits and good smokiness. cassis and blackberries with a beautiful finish that will only get better. this is a great value cabernet not to be overlooked.

I was completly blown away by this bottle. It is way off the chart based upon price. Just an excellent young cabernet. I don't know the drinking window, but I will be drinking this wine young!

Dark fruit, fine tobacco, spice, a hint of all-spice, smokey oak. Still very young. The mid-palate is not very defined because of overwhelming fruit. Potential to be an A- wine.

Should be decanted. Still young but pretty good QPR at around $20.

App: Purple red
Aroma: smooth blackcurrant and dark fruits
Full bodied with good balance. Still too much oak character on the palate
Good length

PnP'd. Needs to evolve a year or two but shows promise with its medium bodied cherry/berry flavors and spice.
