Read some earlier less positive notes but this bottle was pretty good. Deep colour when poured and left in the decanter for two hours. Classic Sangiovese nose. Rich peppery and smooth with a decent finish. Not bad at all.

da una magnum. naso molto sangiovese, con il legno che si è integrato e armonizzato; frutta rossa e nera, ciliegia, prugna, fieno fresco, spezie. al palato discreto equilibrio e lunghezza.

Nice enough Chianti, probably past its prime. Liked the complexity of the Sangiovese, but only medium-bodied, was hoping for something a little more robust that would stand up to a red sauce that wasn't particularly spicy. Definitely a drink now. Won't purchase again, although it was only $15-ish.

Lots of cherry with good acidity. A hint of earthiness, although not as much as I detected at yesterday's tasting, which was attractive to me. I thought the oak was more detectable yesterday as well, when I rated this higher. No complaints but not sure I will be going out of my way to find this again.

P&P. Darker than I recall earlier vintages? Kinda oaky grapy nose. Some of that treated wood thing. Light on it's feet on entry, quickly builds some nice tart ripe fruit, tannins are strong in this babe, drying, then the oak balances out the fruit & tannin. This is your fathers wine, serious, old world. Needs som air.

Surely it is too young, and for the moment too oaky, at least for me. Spicy and balsamic nose: cinnamon, vanilla, clove, rhubarb, mocha. Some black fruit confiture as well: black cherry and Blueberry. At the palate it is still closed; firm tannins with a nice texture and the acidity you expect in a Sangiovese grown on an high ground. Long finish. Will be better in a few years.

Fully mature Chianti. Medium weight, fruit starting to fade a bit, just a hint of tartness with well-balanced acids. Drink up and enjoy.

Grapes and oak. Sweet with little acidity and few tannins. First hit is concentrated fruit but then falls flat. Decent table wine but that's about it.
