Retail $20. 80% Grenache, 20% Mourvedre. I picked this up from Last Bottle Wines for a paltry ten bucks (it was part of a "Mystery Case" for $120 and I did the math), which is pretty shocking since Robert Parker gave it 93 points (for whatever that is worth). While many here on Cellar Tracker think this should have been consumed a handful of years ago, I can report that this Côtes du Rhône Villages is still holding up quite well. Dark in the glass, even really dark, with little signs of age and an intense nose of Crème de Cassis, blackberry, plum, and black pepper. There is also a slight herbal note of sage and mint. Yum. The palate is also fantastic with great fruit, earth, spice, and balance. I don't know about 93 points, but this is certainly Excellent.
Hmmm, I didn't expect this. The cork was stained 2/3's of the way. Initially funky on the nose, which blew off with some air. Full bodied and deliciois, dark fruit and nice tannin structure. I may have guessed this to be a CdP if not for the slightly subdued finish.

No fading from this beautiful gem. After a three-hour decant, scents of freshly baked cherry pie, fire-roasted marshmallows and cinnamon wafted on the nose while prunes, cherry jam, tobacco and cola were on the full and lingering palate. Deliciously complex, there's enough structure here to evolve throughout the evening with varied mouthfuls of ripe fruits, herbal tinctures, and some earthy overtones. It's showing itself wonderfully right now. Drank another bottle on 02.28.15, and it's still lithe and delicious. We love this juice.

This wine took a while to open up. At first it seemed flabby and lacking fruit but later it was crisp and had plenty of fruit. Cherry, raspberry, cigarbox and mineral profile. A nice easy drinking wine, worth the price paid.

The wine has a Ruby colored. It smells like strawberry, and Raspberry. It tastes like Strawberry, Raspberry, and Chocolate. Overall, we like it very much. It needed some time to open up.

Came in from the cold with potential travel shock but I'm impatient. PnP. Dark purple. Slightly restrained nose of strawberry jam. Silky full-bodied mouthfeel. Rich red and dark fruits with little sweetness on the palate, also some minerals and herbs, very Southern-Rhone. A nice long finish. Outstanding QPR at under $14 from Last Bottle - wish I had bought a case.

Very banyardy even after several hours decant. Didn't care for this at all. Another worse than mediocre wine from Last Bottle.

Flawed. Cork was stained two-thirds of its length, and wine was flat and slightly sour. Sad, because earlier bottles were terrific.

Stong overtones of blueberry coffee cake. The second day some of the coffee cake wore off an was replaced by spice and used coffee grounds.

Same as before; love this stuff. Perfect Monday night wine, with snow outside in NYC.

Previous notes stand; but even better on the second night. Now has an exotic floral top note and deeper complexity. Really great.
