I’ve read some notes on ‘09s not aging well, but this is in a nice spot. Good acids, crunchy red fruits, a spicy/sandalwood notes. It’s ripe but not OTT. B+

Medium red center. At first, very tart cranberry, soil, and little mouth feel. However, with some air and slight warming, a softer black cherry aspect emerged along with limestone, herb, and excellent acidity. This is not at all in the more fleshy 2009 mold.

Transparent in colour. Very finely woven in the nose. Red currant, raspberry, both as freshly shredded coulis with a bit of powdered sugar on top. Very direct and animating. In the mouth, it's also very direct, full of tension, but very harmonic at the same time, very fine as well, detailed. Long finish that is slightly tart. Grandiose, but still with potential.

Deep primary ruby. Graphite and blackberry. Lean, tight and stony. No fat 2009 this-I think I might have guessed 2010. This should have a long life but is pretty unyielding right now even after decanting for a few hours.

A bit tight at first, showing tannin and some red fruit but seemingly coiled, opens up nicely. Sappy, sapid, juicy red and black cherries. earth, mocha, I like this a lot, and it holds up well for 2 days. B+/A-

Nez fruits noirs, fleurs, cerises... 93

12hr decant. aromatic nose of caramel, cinnamon, clove & earth. ripe red fruits on the palate with a persistent underlying salinity. blood orange on the finish. quite rich but remains juicy, with great balance. good but not my favorite '09... a bit rich.

Again lean, herbal, tart red fruit, excellent minerality.

Harmonieux et structuré, superbe pureté, assez long.

Takes a little while to open, red fruits, cocoa, balanced and long, just the thing on a nice night on patio. B++

Succulent - Sweet ripe fruit, very round in the mouth with fine tannins but impeccable balance. In one word - hedonistic!
