21 Grams Vertical: 2005-2016. (Home, Portland OR): 21 Grams Vertical: 2005-2016. This bottle showed much more acidity than the 3 previous vintages, as well as most following (other than the 2011). Cassis and cherry fruit, a bit of pomegranate as well. Drinking nicely at age 15, and has some years left for sure. I'd say this is a 20 year wine at least, based on this showing.

From magnum ($79, lol!). Kicking off Thanksgiving imbibements at the Ross's ... solid cab, screams new-world in the best of ways. Our first foray into the 21 G's.

Holding up quite well, and surprisingly I believe it could still use some time to develop more secondary notes. That said, it’s presently lush & delicious with good structure. If this is able to gain further complexity in the coming years it could be a masterpiece.

Really tight with a decant on the first night. Blossomed greatly includes night two. Really lush and pretty with tons of fruit and good tannin structure. Going to hang on to the other bottles for at least 5 years as it will continue to develop.

Drinking really well. My guess is this may last a while but not improve a whole lot. Nice red berries and cherry mixed with a nice earthiness. Really good balance. Served with NY steaks.

Popped and poured. Needed some time to open and warm up from cellar temp, but WOW was this a mouthful. Huge black fruit; cassis, cherry, etc. Just mouth-coating, massive fruit. Some nice secondary flavors also: Earth, spice, espresso, vanilla. At 10 years old, this is still drinking like a young wine...a 20 year wine for sure. I'm very, very impressed, and happy I have several other vintages of this wine in the cellar. Drink now - 2028.

P&P. Tight as hell on the pop, with serious evolution given an hour of air. Deep, dark black and red fruit, with earth, pepper and vanilla flavors. This is what a Cab-heavy blend is supposed to taste like! Still has plenty of life left, given decent storage conditions. Drink now - 2020+.

This wine is in its prime with several more years to go. Same dark berries and vanilla on the nose. Voluptuous fruit and some oak (but way better integrated than two years ago). Tannins are silky and the acid is still present but not overpowering. Would bet this will be even better in a year.

Still drinking well at this point. Color shift towards bricking has started and flavors are starting to show raisined qualities. Drink now or next year to get the best that is left.

Drink now or forever hold your piece. Drinking well but the shadow of the future is there. Color shift and a palate shift to dried fruits is very evident. Drinking my last two bottles before I get any older.

Still showing very youthfully and needs a few years to better integrate. The mouthfeel though is silky and stellar. Notes of black cherry, soy, olive and vanilla tobacco come front and center with smooth tannins on the finish. The oak is still very present but it was far from overpowering and I am sure it will intergrate with more time. There is a solid energy on the mid palate transition adding lift to the savory notes. When it comes together, this will be awesome. Give three years minimum - 92+.

Deep purple color. Vanilla, smoky tea and deep berry fruit on the nose, with toasty oak and typical cab fruit going strong through the long finish. Lots of grip-- this will be good for at least another decade. Much better than the 2009-- less oak, more fruit, and the component parts seem to fit together much better right now...

Loads of dark cherry and some underbrush, saddle leather. Everything coming together perfectly. My best bottle of wine this year.

2+ hour decant allowed this great WA cab to sing...most excellent with grilled double lamb chops; well within its drinking window

Part of a vertical tasting that included 2005 through 2010, very disappointing for the ageability of all years.
Color just starting to show a hint of bricking. Nose and palate of dark fruits with blueberry, also a hint of cooked mushrooms.
Aging better than some years but would drink within the next 3 years.

Pacific Northwest Tasting Trip, Day 4; 4/4/2012-4/12/2012 (Milton-Freewater, OR & Walla Walla, WA, and Waitsburg, WA): Small taste at the winery.
Nose of mixed raspberry, black plum, floral, graphite.
Palate of black raspberry, plum, graphite, earth.
Finish was long, great tannin, and acidity as well.
Fantastic wine.
