I had this with steak (a filet) over dinner - wasn't properly paired although the wine was nice all the same.
I somewhat disagree with the comments below, to my palate the merlot was quite pronounced. I thought the wine was of medium body, juicy and quite floral. Was smooth and drinkable strait out of the bottle. Low acidity / tannins. This wasn't quite the "powerhouse" wine the waiter at the restaurant suggested it would be but was pleasant and fun all the same.

This is extremely young, but I was looking forward to tasting this based on its pedigree to see if it made sense to buy more. Surprisingly 'grapey' with a thin mid-palate and a predominance of Syrah dominating the flavor profile. I would never have guessed the % of Merlot (46% Merlot, 21% Syrah, 15% Petit Verdot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Cabernet Franc). The youth could explain the lack of integration, but I couldn't even find the resolve to finish my glass on either day. Tasted over 2 days with similar results.

Very easy drinking and decent finish. Softened tannins and nice color. Decent legs and solid finish.

Let decant for four hours. Nose poured out as lushly as the wine. Pronounced yet nuanced layers of taste.

I am struggling with this wine. Do I like it or not? My notes from the previous tasting stand however, this lacks the body I would have expected.

Starts with cassis fruity nose that interestingly dies very quickly. This is a pity. Also strong petroleum/oil on the nose.
This was popped and poured so will be interesting to see when decanted.
Full bodied with nice tannins. 7/10.
Even though not decanted it was smooth and enjoyable.
