Clean, crisp and refreshing. Ripe strawberries, melon and a touch of raspberry. Even the nose is refreshing and makes you want to take it all in! Great bargain and a perfect summer wine. Paired great with Port Glazed Duck.

- Pink color with medium forming legs. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of apricot, honey and grapefruit with a light/medium body. Satin-Like texture with a short finish.

Second vintage of this I have had and I'm very impressed again. Aromas of bright strawberries and some orange peel. Medium body on the palate. Good acidity and very clean flavors of watermelon and light cherry. Crisp dry finish.

An easy to drink summer wine. On the nose, fresh picked raspberry, a touch of sweet perfume and some strawberry. On the palette medium plus acidity, medium minus tannins, raspberry continues with a touch of green and nice smoothness. Lacking complexity and concentration.

One of my favorite domestic roses. More fruit than those from Provence, but not in any way a sweet wine (like a "white" zinfandel). Light color and pleasant nose. Strawberry, grass, and perhaps a little melon. Early summer in a bottle.

I hate on Charles Smith sometimes but I and everyone else knows that he is a great winemaker.....his entry level juice sometimes is very offensive to me. However, this is a great rose. Complex and nice balance with some delicious bright strawberry fruit. Serious, serious strawberry fruit.
I am of course aware that this a partnership between Smith and a Provence winemaker but I wanna give the guy that I crucify so often here credit for a great rose.

Dark rose with good body, but a bit too much alcohol. Notes are of strawberries, white cherry and pepper. Fruity, but I kind of agree that there is better rose at a similar price.

Watermelon jolly rancher and berries on the nose, focused strawberry and bright red fruit on the palate with a nice acidic backbone through the finish. Medium to light weight in body, but there is enough there for versatile paring--I could see it going well with grilled veggies, BBQ chicken, and even carne asada tacos. Nice stuff, solid QPR for $9. Will be drinking much more of this through the summer months.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 5/7/2011 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): Had to give this one the benefit of the doubt on the 90 point glass ceiling. Just a little something extra here. Made from Washington State Syrah grapes, we can kind of feel some extra sunshine and hang time in the flavor. Slightly bigger, and deeper than your typical rose. A little more expression of those hard to describe non fruit flavors that linger on in the finish. Sharp, focused red fruit. I feel a little love here. Nice job.

Nice Rose from WA state. The best US Rose I've had so far. Very France like, which is a nice change with US Rose. Very berry nose, great mouth feel, good balance, went well with the chicken dinner. I need to get more of this.

Washington State product from 100% Syrah grapes, a collaboration of Charles Smith and Charles Bieler Very pretty light red color. Lovely nose with berries, very flavorful for a rose with strawberry and cherry notes, the body is light medium but strong enough to stand up to most meats, this is a highly versatile wine. Well balanced, 12% alcohol. Outstanding summer wine, and highly drinkable by itself. Loved it.
