Brownbag in Göteborg by Finewines.se (Göteborgs Vinkällare): We all said without the smallest doubt: Chardonnay. The discussion that followed put it in California or more South because of the rather rich oak treatment and extrovert style. Personally, I was absolutely sure it was a rich, buttery, non-prudently oak-chips-drenched Chard... We found none of the CB-markers in this btl.

Medium yellow color. Aromas of plum, peach, pear, apple, and Meyer Lemon. Palate shows pineapple, ripe melon, peach, and sweet pear with a slightly floral and citrus-tinged medium-long finish. This holds over a few days of being open and is an easy wine to like. Drink.

100% Chenin Blanc. Pale yellow color. Fresh tropical grassy nose. Vibrant tropical medium-bodied palate: melon, pineapple, pear, and floral flavors. Slightly sweet. Crisp medium length finish. Very refreshing and enjoyable on a warm summer evening.

Pale lemon yellow color with tiny bubbles of dissolved gas. Aromas of musk melon, ripe pear, flowers, and tangerine. Palate is sweet with enough zip to keep it interesting. Flavors featured include sweet green melon, preserved pear, quince preserve, yellow flowers, and a hint of yellow apple. An easy accompaniment to sweeter vegetable or fresher cheese selections.

Nose had nice complexity: floral, saline, candied. Oily on the palate. Smooth and rich. Interesting salinity cuts through the palate as well. Keeps everything fresh.

Not my wine. Full Chenin aroma's, body, smooth, but no complexity. Many will love this.

Similar notes. Thought the group would like it more than they did.

Nice. Light for a Chenin Blanc though. Melon and honey. A bit too sweet in a fake way though.
