Very nice creamy fruit aroma with a hint of spice. Full mouth feel. Taste is solid with dark fruit like blackberry and plum. But taste got overpowered by my supreme frozen pizza.

the definition of average. not much to say about this except it tastes like cheap, everyday table wine. Nothing specifically off or bad tasting but like someone else said - boring.

My wife and I had dinner at a local Greek restaurant and they goofed up our wine order. We ordered a wine from Chile, but when it came out I was gone and they'd actually delivered the Copolla Rosso. It was actually a happy accident. It was priced about the same as the one from Chile ($29 at the restaurant, $9 in the store) and was a really nice complement to our Greek meal. Lots of flavor, quite a bit of fruit, no oaky over-taste. Good long finish, rather dry. All in all, a darn good bottle of wine for a great price in the store. We found it one of our local supermarket chains and bought several bottles to enjoy at home. Can't beat serendipity...

Tried last night with Kim and good CT friend neighborbill at a wine tasting at Gail's Grapes & Hops in Hickory NC. Nothing special or memorable but no off-tones and a decent enough little tablewine red blend, very inexpensive and a reasonable QPR at this price point. No real complexity or structure but not as hot and heavy in my opinion as some tasting notes below indicate. Nose drier then expected, cherry and plum and some tomato, primary flavors of reasonably well balanced red cherry, plum and some coffee on the tail.

A rip-off at $9 - I've had jug wines that are significantly better.
Nose was decent but not worth commenting further on given the garbage that made its way into my mouth. No body or structure was present, very little fruit or flavor at all - with the exception of alcohol heat. Poor effort.

A little hot and fusel-ly, and lighter in body than I would expect. For the price, it's OK, but there are better red values out there. And this is coming from a fan of Niebaum-Coppola in general.

Nose of dried cherry and some alcohol heat. Juicy cherry and plum backed by finely-grained tannins. Short smooth finish, very easy drinking. Nothing extraordinary, but a fine table wine that is budget-friendly. Not as dry as a chianti, but pairs well with tomato-based sauces on pasta or pizza.

Light/medium-bodied and very soft. Packed with red fruits: raspberry, cherry. Not much structure or complexity, but not falling apart, either.

This bottle was much better than the last one, which was definitely hot. This is more like a table wine, simple, easy, and going well with pizza.

Now I know what a "hot" wine is. And I don't like this one. Poor structure and very bitter on the taste. Use as paint thinner.

A great wine for the price. Ripe strawberry, maple, dates, port and cocoa butter. Smooth, fresh and mild tannins.
