Nice, but i felt this wine was low in acidity and at 13.5% alcohol lacked that crisp profile i have enjoyed in the past. Several wines sampled in their tasting room showed a riper profile that was similiar to the Pinot Blanc, most were strangely overripe.

Really an outstandingly deep and interesting pinot blanc. Classy, heady, and deep meyer lemon meets golden delicious flavor. Sign me up. Should have bought more.

Poped and poured with grilled chicken. Very nice aroma of green apple right out of the gate, and had an undercurrent of stone fruit aroma that really came out more as the bottle warmed up some. Taste was pretty consistent with the aroma, with green apple, peach and also some lychee. This wine has consistently performed well in the prior vintage and in tasting at the winery. A pretty good QPR at $22.

Left foot Charley just won its biggest award to date. The 2010 Pinot Blanc was named Best white wine at the Long Beach Grand Cru International wine competition. Out of 1000+ wines submitted from around the world, the 2010 was named the top wine. I am a red wine drinker, almost exclusively, but I agree that this is a really good wine, with a nice smooth finish. It will be interesting to see how it is rated. Highly rec.

Minerally, earth infused nose of ripe orchard fruits. This is layered and complex, with bright lemon and green apple flavors, ample acidity, and a lingering, minerally, acidic finish.
