This has aged very nicely. Classic soft burgundy spice on the nose. Palate is early tertiary with soft red fruit, leather, mushroom, sous-bois, and a whiff of smoked meat. A food wine really, but very good on its own in quite an intellectual way. Wish I had more as I'd love to try this again in another 5 or 10 years. Drink or hold.

Black and red cherry with sweet spice aromas that seem to show some protruding new oak. Similar flavors are also rich with the firm tannins representative of its terroir. Not quite showing Grand Cru density o me, but very balanced and enjoyable.

There are some nice spices on the nose, but you have to work quite hard to find them. The palate is medium bodied. While quite pleasant with some hints of grand cru, they're very much in the background and so overall there's just not really enough quality here.

Maybe just a hair of Brett of the cork pull. But that will probably blow off. Sweetly fruited and wonderful across the palate. Serious wine, but still needs some time.

2008 Red Burgundies: Vincent Girardin (Vin Vino Wine): Good nose, nice complexity. Needs time (84-85 right now).
