Essence of cherry, wood-inflected notes of leather, cedar, sandalwood, mineral notes over chewy tannins today. Not quite as hard as some of the '98 Arnoux 1er Crus have some across in the past and while certainly not resolved, this seems to be more accessible in an overall sense. Drying, tannic finish. A food wine for meat.

At first, sweet aromas of musky red and black cherries, sous bois and mineral, licorice on the nose with a hint of dusty tobacco. Fleshy on entry with darker, more somber pinot fruit, incense, cedar and ending crisp and short. This shows a bit of advanced development with even just ten minutes of air time. Questionable storage? Hard to judge.

Consistent with prior note, this continues to drink beautifully. Well balanced, cool rhubarb fruit with baking spice and hints of smoke and earth. Super enjoyable bottle.

Light ruby colour. Initial acetone on nose. This gradually clered with slight aroma of small red fruit developing. Dry and tannic with wood on palate but slowly improved with underlying strawberry fruit with spice. 2nd night lovely spicey strawberry nose. Sweet fruit with nice acidity and less gripier tannins longish finish, unrecognisable from 1st night.

Very solid villages; country funk and sweet-smoky strawberry/rhubarb pinot fruit accented by notes of baking spices; tannins are resolved, oak is integrated and this well balanced middleweight is open for business. Lacks that little something extra to elevate it to the next level; as one taster noted, "good but not great."

Beautiful pinot noir, drinking really well right now. Nice combination of barnyard and fruit. Silky smooth texture with minimal tannins. Pretty amazing for a village level wine!

Complex aromas of red and dark berries, subtle earthy tones. Still some acidity to keep it aging. Nice balance. Full body with weight and depth.

Better than I thought it was going to be. Pretty good. 5 years ago this wine was a mess.
