  • Decanted for one night in wine cellar. The wine evolved really well with spearment, eucalyptus, flower, purple fruit, a hint of honey, and really creamy. It’s a magic to allure you stepping closer and closer. On the palate, i found cedar, mulberry, blueberry, and cacao. Then, the mid-palate started to develop mint, black tea, and licorice. The lasting was amazingly one minute long. The sweetness increased the depth of wine, and the chewy tannin made the structure solid. I am glad that I chose this wine as my birthday treat. Even though the wine seems still too young, I have no regrets. It is just as good as I imagine.

  • Drank with a 2007 Cliff Lede Poetry. This was a lighter and more elegant wine than the Poetry. The nose was almost Merlot-like, with a hint of mushroom. The palate had those dusty red fruit notes reminiscent of Harlan or Screaming Eagle. Long finish. Beautifully balanced.

Needed at least an hour of decanting.

  • From coravin. This was an elegant giant. The statue I saw was tranquil, well-crafted, and magnificent. It was unfair I drank this with Continuum 10’. Continuum was shadowed by Dana Helms. This complex wine had blown me away. However, it was still too young. I will revisit it at least 10 years later.
