Still very fresh. Plenty of bright fruit, with more complexity than I'd expect at this price point. Solid, interesting wine with an excellent QPR at <$14. Equally good on day 2.

Interesting blend, mostly the slightly stingy malbec with the warm, spicy, round taste of bonarda and a little peppery bite from the shiraz. Good to drink now but may still improve a bit over the next couple of years.

Very pleasant wine, the Bonarda gives structure to this predominantly Malbec wine. The wine looks violet. The legs are medium. The wine finishes Medium. At $14.80 Can. this wine was very good value.

This is a well-conceived blend of 73% Malbec, 15% Bonarda and 12% Syrah. The Bonarda helps soften and round out teh Malbec, and the Syrah helps add another layer of spice and complexity. Clear, purple, medium plus in intensity. The nose is clean, medium plus in intensity, with both black and red fruit; blackberry, currant, sweet rice strawberry, sour raspberry. The nose is developing. The palate is dry, consistent with the nose, with medium to medium plus acidity, alcohol and tannins. The tannins are still a little dry and astringent, but the overall package is very balanced. It is medium-bodied, with medium flavor intensity and length. The finish has a nice savory, spicy accent. Drinkeable now, but has potential for improving with a couple more years of bottle ageing. But then again, why would anyone do that with a $12 wine? This blend is very good by itself or as an accompanyment to food. This is a super value, and was a WS best value with a score of 90.

Deep purple. Pronounced dark fruits. Good blend that seems to breathe well. A little astringent aftertaste, but generally good. Not overly complex, but interesting.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black currant, raspberry, and licorice and spice, good finish, good QPR.

Decanted for 3 hours and used an aerator. On the nose, black fruit and ripe plum masked by alcohol. Full body, nice finish, and smooth tannins. Beautiful dark ruby color. On the palate; plum, currant, blackberry, jam, pepper, and oak. Nice pairing with tacos.

Great price, needs 1 hour of decant, or another year in bottle for sure. I will buy more for the experiment! I think i aggree with the scattered notes, the heat/acid qualities soften over time and food of course helps. Overall i'm left with a nice Malbec blend that is complex, deep, and has a complex finish that all seems in balance. ~17 $ CAN @ MLCC

Tasty but simple - Dark, full bodied with a nose of plum, graphite, cherry, earth and vanilla, simple, big, sweet on the palate with good length (88 Points).

C: Dark ruby N: Dark fruits, plum, vanilla, hint of smoke P: Delicious black fruits from the Malbec highlighted with bright red fruits from the Syrah. You can really taste the component varietals here, providing layers of fruits with a nice cream finish F: medium
Very enjoyable. Loved the black and red fruites. The Syrah, while only 12% of the blend, really stood out and added greatly to the blend. Nice wine for the price (about $13.) Very enjoyable.

A very pleasant malbec. It pours dark with dark fruit (like ripe plums) on the nose and palate. I didn't decant this one, rather I used a aerator that fits into the bottle neck. I think this would be better if decanted, let set, and drank after an hour or so.

The deep ruby color of this wine was very inviting, and while the nose was dominated by alcohol right out of the bottle it smoothed out nicely with a half hour in the decanter. Hints of dried cherry, dark fruit are there, but ultimately it's a very drinkable wine that lacks real complexity.

I'm thinking there's some good potential here with the future bottles ... I just brought this home from the wine store ... popped, decanted and poured. It's a beautiful dark ruby color with dark fruit (plums) on the nose and palate. I detected some 'heat' on the mouth at times so I'm thinking I'll hold the other bottles for awhile to see if it's better then.

This bottle wasn't up to the previous ones. It must have been in a 'dumb' phase as it was all out of balance with pronounced heat.
