This is not exactly my kinda wine, I found the fruit a touch overripe and the tannins too soft and i like the freshness, but overall not much pleased with it. But the other guys on the dinner were quite happy and really liked it...

Drunk at a wedding so the notes aren't too fancy. A tasty medium to full bodied wine that was quite satisfying. Cabernet dominates the shiraz with black currant, plums, black cherry, mint and hints of red berries. A lick of chocolate. Cedar oak and spice too. A yummy bargain.

Smells black - pepper, currant, berry. Afterscents of licorice and vanilla. Whoever decided to mix Cabernet and Shiraz is one crazy Aussie but sometimes it works. This is a big jammy fruitbomb with alcohol in check at 13.5%, loads of plum jam, ripe berries, and chocolate. Delicious wine and excellent value!

Wine can taste better or worse depending on the day you've had. In my case, til now, three Christmas parties without a drop of booze! Consequently this may be tasting better than it would on other days. Black and red fruits, plenty of mulberry, and dark chocolate. Excellent balance, enough structure to satisfy.

Drank a couple of weeks ago after taking delivery following the Yalumba Winemaker Dinner in Melbourne.
Little subdued on opening but given a bit of time in the decanter the nose opened up nicely revealing black fruit with a hint of spice. Medium body and full flavoured without being overly alcoholic or too try.
Good value wine that will benefit from a bit of time in the bottle.

Plummy red color with some purple highlights. Typical Aussie red nose with aromas of plum jam, licorice spice, smoke, ripe dark cherries, some minty nuances and a little coffee-chocolate oak. However, the nose is not in that in-your-face fruit bomb style, but in more restrained, elegant style. Full-bodied and succulent in the mouth with spicy complexity, dark cherry, chocolate, vanilla oak and some blackcurrant. The palate is much more concentrated than the nose leads to believe. The overall appearance is sweet, but not overtly jammy. There is some grip to the quite subtle tannins, whereas the acidity remains quite low, and thus the body quite soft and smooth. Pretty long finish with flavors of cherry chocolate, some vanilla and a hint of wood.
A decent basic level Ozzie red, but a little too ripe, soft and low in tannins and acidity for my tastes. Good for its price point amongst the Oz reds we got here, as the wine is not overtly sweet, jammy and fat, but instead more balanced and has some complexity. Nothing spectacular, but a good effort in its own category. If you like the style, the wine is an ok purchase at 14,98€.

Vibrant dark fruit, vanilla and liquorice on the nose. Medium bodied, supple and smooth, showing dark fruit, liquorice and hints of vanilla.Gentle and firm tannins with soft acidic structure. This is a balanced and elegant blend of CS and shiraz with very good QPR. A great quaffer.

A good Aussie Cab / Shiraz blend at a good price. Really dense, concentrated wine with nice aromas of baking spices and currants. Flavors of jammy black fruits and cassis. Supple tannins. Pleasant to drink, excellent with hearty food, this is an excellent bottle for someone who is looking for a richer, more flavor packed Cab.

The baby brother of The Signature, made from young vines. Pale purple coloured with a warming cedar nose, reminds me of sitting by the hearth. Full and plump with cedar and sweet, almost baked black fruits. Although ripe, it's not overdone or heavy with a good freshness on the finish. Good value.
