at pop and pour this displays and aromatic density of peanut butter. quickly sheds with 5 minutes in the glass. cherry, dense with mineral tones. thoughts of savory spice. 5 spice, thai foods. palate erupts with floral notes up front. a green that has settled into a potpourri! loads of structure to this wine. m+ acid on a strong frame. medium tannin, medium body. flavor profile is strong, more youthful than its 8 years suggests. a hint of smoke or flint in there. this wine really comes around fast, but it appears that its going to hold in the glass. drink to 2018.
