Very good wine. Bigger and more fruity that I expected for a 14 year old Chianti. The classic stuff was there. Tasted like a bowl of pasta with red sauce. A little cedar, blasamic vinegar, and cherry cough drop. Delicious, but not as typical as I would like.

Last bottle from a case of 6. Holding well, no change in the colour since last tried. Lovely nose, spicy fruit. Nice mouth feel, smooth, lot of flavour, sour cherries, dried fruits, spice. Long, dry tannic finish, just how I like it.

We drank this wine on New Year's Eve after drinking champagne. We drank wine together with calf file and fries. A good soft wine that is ready to drink.

dark-pitch colour; light, thin rim. nose: robust - sweety; dark macerated fruits with the add of bacon; some rotting wood - strong but really fresh. taste: quite accidic and thin - lacks body; cherries with stones; rather short, with detectabletannins and too watery finish with smoked prunes. Well expected much more; but still great nose.

Decent, but not impressive. I did not catch all the positives that others found. Next day -- meaningfully better. If I had another one (which I do not), I would definitely let it breathe for a while.

Needs an hour of decanting. If you enjoy Sangiovese, this wine is an excellent rep of what it can be. Showed typical tart cherry fruit, good mineral and Italian earth present throughout. A very nice wine with several years of life left.

dark ruby color with sharp tannins. Dry short finish with hint of the soil the grapes came from. Drinks well now...doubt it will keep long. Very nice Chianti blend

Nice red color with hints of brick at the edge Somewhat weak to the nose but a good taste with well integrated tannins. A lot better than the previous bottle I had.

Good quality cork, 13.5% alcohol. Saturated ruby red. Nose of plums, cherries. On the palate, intensely fruit cake, fine tannins, characteristic sangiovese sour cherries. Very drying tannins on the aftertaste, cleanses the palate. I like this a lot. Great with food. Seems to have a lot of time left, can develop and improve.

I should have purchased more of this. Very good Chiati Classico. Just a bit of oak but well integrated. This one had ten years of age - and showed well. Probably would have been served well to have a few hours of decanting. Very typical of a good Chanti.
On the first day, it took quite a while to open up, and seemed quite tightly wound for a wine with 9 years of age on it. On the nose it was not giving up much, mostly dried flowers and iron, in the mouth it was dried cherries and dust. On the second day it had gotten my more deeply fruited, with some slight aged characteristics coming through... Nice wine, highly doubt I would have picked this as even an Italian wine, let alone a Chianti. Rather modern in styling, but definitely drinkable. Probably could go another 5+ years.

Very modern and fruite CC. Pretty persistent with previous notes. It is currently very drinkable and enjoyable. There is huge amounts of dark chocolate and even asphalt mixed with the fruit and a very long and acidic aftertaste. Very nice and will be able to last a very long time!!

A little disappointment as the fruit seems to have left this bottle. Nice smell, very dark, deep red colour. Still good very well balanced tannins but lacked the fruit. Might be this particular bottle but I have one more that I will taste later with interest.

A very intense and fruity nose that starts with a little funk.. After some time a lot of spices comes through especially lavender mixed with a little coffee and vanilla. Wow, the taste is still very fruity and only has very little hints of age. The acidity is refined and balanced with the full set of spice and vanilla. The fruit is predominately sweet blueberries and really intense. It is a lot better than I had expected since I hadn't tried it for a couple of years. My last bottles will be kept for at least 3-5 years. A really nice example of a very good Chianti in a modern style which is built to last a long time :-)

I am trying to develop a palate for Chianti, so my TN is not as well-informed as I want it to be. I agree with other tasters -- strong cherry/berry tastes particularly upon opening. Interestingly, this is a foreground taste for the sort of burnt/raisiny taste I find in many Italian wines. Good balance of tannins and other flavors. Very enjoyable. The fruit faded a bit through the bottle, although I have one more and I will revisit it in a few years.

consumed this in 3 days span, clearly a high class chianti with cherry, strawberry, toasty oak and fine tannin, will last another 5-7 years. I like it quiet a bit.

Tobacco, coffee, herbs, and a little leather. A great example of a Chianti to share with your friends who might be new to wine as it is a good representative of the varietal. Lacked slightly in fruit, but not a serious detriment. Will keep for a while for sure.

The dark cherry fruit is starting to dry a bit but there is still a good amount of tannin, more than average for a chianti, particularly of this age.
