A simple but decent Pinot. Slight smoke, more brown sugar in the nose and very modest fruit. The balance is a bit to the tart side but okay and there is a hint of drying tannins. At $10 or less a reasonable value.

Acacia makes some really nice and expensive Pinot Noir. This, however, is not one of them. I have to admit that it was still pretty good, though. For $10 this will likely become our cheap, middle-of-the-week, California Pinot. It's not as nice as the Estancia Pinnacles Ranches Pinot, but it's certainly better than the new Estancia Monterey Pinot. This Acacia is not the most complex wine, and it doesn't have all the yummy Pinot characteristics that I like, but at least it wasn't overly sweet like other low-end California Pinots (sugar added?! Why???).

Nice complex nose with raspberry, strawberry, smoke, ripe; ripe red fruit, palate is on the simpler side, nice; short finish. Quite a solid Pinot with more interest on the nose than the palate. 87

Opened this as a cooking wine, and ended up having two glasses left over. A bit thin, but still tasty. Hard to think of anything that stands out, but certainly nothing wrong with it. Pairs well with chicken, so there you go.

The myriad of dark fruit and floral notes in this Pinot Noir come from the cool, windy Los Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA) in the southern reaches of Napa Valley. Satsuma plum, blackberry, red rose and violet notes weave through the enticing aromas, mingled with warm nuances of vanilla and toasted oak from barrel aging. Silky, elegant flavors echo the aromas, adding blueberry and plum to the rich fruit complexity.
This wine's lush flavors, bright acidity and fine-textured tannins structure the harmonious flavors, while integrated toasted oak spices (from new barrels I've been told) weave through the layers of vineyard expression. This 100% Pinot Noir wine would complement a broad range of foods, from grilled salmon and chicken, to lamb and wild mushrooms.

Colors very light red, almost a tad too watery. Nose of strawberry, other red fruits. Taste is pleasant. Winemaker withstood the California temptation to overwood the wine. No strong tannins. Finish a bit short. A nice wine all in all, drink young.

Another Pinot for all the Cru Beaujolais fans - especially Fleurie. Fruity and floral nose - light and delicate on the palate. Smooth and balanced. Definitely a crowd pleaser. You may even enjoy this chilled.

This is a basic table wine that is very good as a basic table wine. You don't often find a pinot noir that succeeds as a basic wine. But here you have it. I can't say that it sparkles as a pinot noir. It's not a jewel in the wine glass. It's a little bit flat. But it's a very good basic table wine, and better than many other pinot noirs that sell for more than this bottle costs.

Best $10 PN I've had. Style is rustic & somewhat complex, not the smooth cherry style of many low-priced versions. Much better than the $13 Kirkland 2010 Russian River in my side by side...

For $14 this is an enjoyable Pinot. I'll pick up a few more. Has a little spice and blackberry. A great pop-n-pour.

Little chalky. Surprisingly light nose and bitter mid pallet. Traditional burgundy finish with a little unbalanced acidity. Not great.
