  • A bit medicinal(a la cough syrup) upon opening. Dark cherries, plums at the nose. Decanted and let it air for 1.5 hours. Figs, plums, raisins, vanilla and some herbs. Also, there is some nice heat to this wine at 15% alcohol. Definitely a bit of green olive(slight bitterness) at the finish that gradually faded as the wine opened up further. Medium body. Enjoyable Amarone at a reasonable price. Would buy again. Enjoyed it!

  • Deep, rich nose of currant, blackberry and some licorice. It's warm and rich with red fruit on the palate. Currant, cranberry and some pomegranate. Bold and nice. The only detractor was a very dry finish that contained a touch of bitterness.
