A vestige of The Dark Old Days...medium deep to deep crimson w staining- nose is woody. Really nothing but wood. Palate a bit brighter, with red and black fruits, good acidity - but also a lot of wood on the palate - nice enough if you like wine that tastes like dark chocolate, smoke and coffee, but not my style - seems a bit over-worked, which is too bad as it seems as if the fruit is there, just smothered.

Very good wine, but not very expressive. Again, this is my experience with Syrah from the Okanagan Valley (except for the Equinox Syrah from Le Vieux Pin), they're always better at 2-3 years of age than 6 years+. Deep, structured, but a bit closed. Well balanced, but finish is not that long. A very good quality wine, but not exciting...

Thoroughly enjoyed at the tasting room in 2012. Opened in 2015 to find plenty of tannin but very little primary fruit and a boat-load of alcohol. Was stored in a temp controlled fridge. Although tasting a single bottle typically doesn't offer a conclusive look into a particular wines' longevity I would recommend enjoying these early on.

Garnet colour with pronounced intensity. On the nose black fruit (Blueberries, black cherries) and some red fruit (Plums), pungent spice (Black pepper, sage, thyme) and sweet spice (vanilla). The Oak is there bit not overpowering. Full bodied, high alcohol with smooth tannins and medium acidity. Incredibly well balanced wine, very well made-reminded me of Northern Rhone Syrah. Looooong finish. still has room for development but is drinking very nicely now.

This wine is in a nice place now. Everyone enjoyed it. Smooth tannins. Not overwhelming. Dark berry fruit, touch peppery, spices. But lighter then many warmer weather syrahs. Almost a cool minty feel to the wine (but no mint) ..... hard to describe. Well balanced. Juicy. Very very nice wine.

Plush, well constructed plum, vanilla, hint of pepper & dill. Sweet tannins but oak is still dominating the nose & palate

Heady mix of oak, black cherry and smoke. Fine effort, drinking well.

I think there might be a wine here underneath the onslaught of oak. It's good oak:cedar & dill. But it's oak. Oh, there's some sausage & iodine too.

Nice wine for B.C. Well balanced, great fruit. A little too dark, heavy and inky for my tastes.
