From mag. Very solid for its level with beautiful, sweet fruit, just hint of spice, white clay and iron and very fine tannins. Medium body and lenght. No need for further cellaring but will likely hold for another 5-10 years on this level, at least in magnum format.

Light to medium garnet, the bouquet is savoury-edged with undergrowth, cerise, dry bark and crayon. A smooth entry, with lovely breadth, the fruit is juicy with sour red cherry, liquorice and aniseed flavours. Relatively grippy tannin, a mineral/crushed stone edge, makes the wine feel bone dry. Medium in length, the wine is remarkably delicate with this savoury angle, although it is just starting to fade a little.

Aromas are better with plenty of ripe Bing cherry and some spices with a hint of pulverised stone—a touch of crushed ant. A sweet entry shows a taffeta texture and a wonderful core of juicy fruits - from tinned strawberries to red cherry paste. Quite a generous mid-palate and feeling heavy-handed at times, it perhaps has seen better days. However, the finish is splendid with a building mineral element, salted cherries and persistence on the length.

Light+ brick red Initial notes show some slight oxidation with volatility noted too. There is s dumbing of the fruit yet the oak seems to show well. The palate reflects the issues of the nose although there is some juicy cherry fruits and preserved strawberries lurking Slightly flawed? decided to open second bottle

From mag. Plush fruit, still fairly primary with ripe strawberries and sweet blueberries. Hints of light herbs and earth. On the palate also quite generous, one can tell this is from a warm year, but still elegant with good energy. Sweet, fruity, silky and quite long finish. Has turned out very well. In a good place. No hurry to drink up, at least not in this format, but no harm in opening a bottle either.

This wine seems to have come into its own over the last twelve months. It's shaed it's tannins and is now drinking beautifully. Not too much on the nose after 30 mins but red fruits and a hint of meat/blood on the palate and a medium finish. Very nice

Perfumed nose with Asian spices. Bright dark cherry fruit, fantastic minerality, hint of stem, and spice. Drinking nicely already - the oak and tannins are well integrated. The wine has verve but no sharp edges. If it was $10 cheaper I would more than happy to stock up and have around as a daily drinker.

Ruby red color with full transparency. Aromas of coffee, cherry, and cooked rhubarb. Palate has substantial, gritty tannins with a strong hit of coffee that dissipates with some air to reveal a dark cherry and slightly green spicy element that leads into a medium finish. Expect positive development and integration. Enjoyable now, but likely better to my tastes in 2016 or later. Drink or hold.

Wine Cellar 2009 Burgundy tasting (Wine Cellar): Delightfully perfumed, this Marsannay is filled with juicy red fruits and is clean, crisp and bright with a supple, appealing mid-palate and elegance. Fruit tannins are well integrated, and the wine is more medium-bodied than light.
