Well done , a fine claret from Priorat. Many flavors going on here , I wouldn't say this was outside of the drinking window by any stretch actually. We had 2 bottles , one was noticeably heartier than the the other both were very good.

Original purchase. Stored in a temperature controlled cellar. Drinking at its peak. With a short rib ragout paperdelle. Wish I had more. Still good fruit and a soft long finish.

Medium Body once taken off the considerable sediment. The nose is similar to a cross between Bordeaux and Musar, it's pretty much all secondary / tertiary now. The palate develops over time in the glass, it seems to benefit from about 30-45 mins, it's very elegant but lacking a bit of life, the finish could be longer, I'd be drinking these up if I had any more.

A bit stinky to start with, this now tastes fully mature. There is an element of scorched wood to the wine, but on the palate the fruit it's about holds its own against the secondary flavours, the tannins are almost fully resolved and there's fair acidity here, a touch of chocolate finishes this off. Not sure that there's too much benefit in holding this longer.

Judging by the cork, it was the right time to open this bottle. Well bricked on the rim. Fantastic nose of liquorice, cigars, warm spices(cloves) and dark fruits all intermingled with a healthy mineral streak. Plums and cherries glide across the palate, the tannins are now quite soft but this wine is more about finesse than out and out Priorat power. Medium acidity and a good length making this a great mature Priorat.

Regular dinner group (By PvD @ Savarin): Beautiful and elegant bouquet with dark forest fruits, some smoke and oak as well as some pleasant barnyard in the beginning. Same on the palate; beautiful dark fruit juice, sweet spices, some licorice, beautiful acidity and a touch of pleasant sweetness and beautiful round tannin. Ready now and no real hurry.

Slight bricking at the rim. this smells of ripe plums and blackcurrants with some warm truffly notes, a bit of wet earth, on the palate it has a little bite to the tannin still but there's a good mouthfull of ripe berry fruits and balanced acidity there to wash over that succesfully. this is now getting mature and delicious to drink now but has more life in it. Next bottle in a year or so.

Deep purple with a garnet rim, not too much sign of aging, medium bodied. On the nose notes of wet leaves, mushrooms and a touch of licorice, quite earthy. In the mouth it evolves well, good acidity and soft tanins, red fruits(sour cherries), spices and a deep chocolate finish that was of a pleasant medium length.

Very tasty. Now that RP has discovered this wine, I can only say I wish I had more. It was a steal at $25, but I won't see that price again as the more recent vintages I have seen for around $80. Oh well, looking for the next great find...

Nice wine. Started a litle tight and seemed light in the glass. Wine opened up and became more full after 1/2 hour. Not a massive wine, but pleasant and satisfying.

Deep reddish purple in the glass with a nose that shows dusty earth, anise, tar and mineral ladden dark fruit. Deep and powerful with huge tannins thick and dense. The palate is awash with blackfruit, anise, chocolate, minerals, tar, cherries...earth....and more. Really the finish is close to a minute. Great wine, 4.5/5
