Sorry that I am out of this one and that I didn't buy more some years ago. Wonderful deep fruit and great for just drinking but goes great with any food, as well.

well balanced. Relatively high acid makes it excellent with food, but quite enjoyable for quaffing. There still is backbone, but this no longer is a powerful wine. Instead, it is sophisticated and lithe.

This is what I love about many Super Tuscans. This Bordeaux blend straddles the old and new worlds. Fruit forward with plum and Bing cherry, mid-weight, but with a touch of the earthiness found in old world wines. A hint of eucalyptus and some nice depth on the back end complete a delightful wine well worth the $30 paid.

well balanced, strong fruit, tons of structure, well integrated tannin. Drinks like a left bank Bordeaux, which is to be expected since it has that composition, but it has a brightness that often is missing in its French counterpart. Drinking very well right now, probably close to peak.

A nose of silky red fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A smooth full bodied Super Tuscan red blend with raspberry, cherry, blueberry, chocolate and vanilla on finish. Still young, decant, a steal under $30. www.winelx.com

Tasty and well balanced. 50 % Cabernet, 20% Cab Franc, 20% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot = 100% delicious. Paid $30 @ WL. For that money this was a nice buy. Possibly not enough depth to justify the $70 retail though. Nice cherry notes, with a bit of spice on the backend made this a delicious pairing for Buratta and lasagna. Wish I had more. Seems to have hit a nice age.

Wine Adventure - Alto-Adige, Valpolicella, Soave, Bolgheri, Barbaresco & Barolo; 9/11/2013-9/20/2013 (Italy): Nose of wet earth and black cherry. Texture is light, but the bit of Petit Verdot adds some substance. The palate has plum and black cherry in front with a short bit of dark chocolate on the finish. Tannins are strong and dusty with medium high acidity. Probably will mature and bring the tannins and acidity into balance, but needs to have more mid-palate, complexity and finish to be really interesting and elevate it.

Kinda meh, priced about right at $30. Retail price is insane. Nose is has dusty dried spices, fresh flowers, and a hint of mossy forest. In the mouth wine is mostly on the dry side with strong tannins and a vegetable overtone. Finishes a bit more sharp than my usual liking.

Nice blend brings flavors of blue and red fruit which softens into a nice mouth feel of mellow earthiness.
