Full, rounded, quite rich and exotic, old school style. drinking at peak I would think, shame about the 2 bottles that were poxed before getting a good one

Pulled the cork a couple of hours before serving and the nose leapt from the bottle straight away. There’s ripe orchard fruits, peach and even some mango with a line of citrus acidity.there’s some weight to this wine in the mouth, then comes some more savoury notes, cashew nut, the finish is very long. An excellent bottle of this wine, mature but will keep

This is a wine experience! Beautiful wine, all in balance, a mix of great wines (a bit of vintage champagne, sauternes, and more), there's power, elegance, balance. Love it. 2 hrs of air, this showed best when a little warmer. Nice phase of maturity and will last longer. Massive difference with other decent 1er cru of same age, most of which were past peak and not that good

This is as per my note from 18 months ago. It is already very approachable and drinking at its best. It is a very vibrant and elegant wine with a lovely mouth feel. Citrus fruits, honey, and foral blossom pervade with a clean graphite background. The finish is excellent and is 30+ seconds.

This 2010 Fontaine Gagnard Criots Batard Montrachet is showing well today. Fontaine Gagnard suffered some premox issues in 2010 but luckily there was no premox issue with this bottle. Fresh array of ripe tree fruits and yellow orchard fruits. Smoked minerals on the palate, slightly oily. (91/100)

This has really moved forward in the last year, and is drinking superbly, far improved from 12 months ago. It is beautifully coloured with a soft yellow hue. The nose is very clean with citrus and graphite. The palate is well rounded and complex with flavours of honey and flora prominent. The finish is well balanced and steely and pushes 30+ seconds. This does benefit from a couple of hours of aeration. .

Drinking beautifully, it benefits from time in the decanter. The aromas are citrus with clean graphite, and the palate is honeyed with great depth and smoothness. Completed with a good harmonious finish, it is an excellent wine and in a perfect spot now. 93+

Several days later from memory. Ah the dilemma of white burgundy. Still no definitive prem-ox solution, so you pays yer money, you takes yer chances. A leading authority says "don't hold" any white burgundy, so I approached opening this bottle like I was defusing a ticking bomb.
Not to worry, bright pale gold, with zero signs of any problem. Immediately fresh, rich, waves of ripe orchard and yellow fruits, with vanilla and creamy oak on the palate. It was a complete wine, every sniff and sip entirely attractive and satisfying, nothing out of proportion. You could imagine aging it without fear, yet I'm not sorry for a second I hit it now. Wouldn't it be nice to have more to play with.

Very light yellow in color, very fresh citrus fruit nose with very good purity. Very little or almost no new oak can be detected. Medium plus palate with lots of stony fruit and pretty sharp acidity, medium minerals filled finish. Very good white wine in the making.

Butterscotch to the fore but not caramelised. Good freshness. Long complex, drink up.

Brought by a friend to dinner out: after two disappointing Chablis, this was a gem! DJH’s note nails it, great stuff! 94+

Early maturity, so much potential here, not quite tropical fruits, but it’s ripe with a lovely line of acidity cutting through it.
