  • Medium yellow color. Pears on the simple, clean nose. Similarly dominated by pear juice on the palate, with a bit of herbs on the end. Fine acidity on the midpalate, yet it comes off as a bit heavy on the finish. Fine length and fair balance.

  • Bright & clear yellow-gold colour, a little darker than expected.

Lemon with a hint of oats on the nose.

Just the first hint of oxidisation on the palate, but not enough to detract significantly. Lemon to the fore, but also some butter (in both taste & texture on the finish). Acidity nestles in nicely providing some freshness, but not assertively so. Some complexity on the finish.

I suspect this is likely to decline from here (unless this is an advanced bottle). Not great, not really worth the money, but it is a good wine and in keeping with the 'house style'.

  • Very nice. Linda especially loved it. 12/28/05 at Cafe Matisse with us, kids, Linda & Greg, Alice & Paul. Drank it with scallops, shrimp, lobster in a chowder sauce. Very light, nice nutty taste.
