Love this wine. So sad, my last bottle. Ahhh. Wonderful aromas of dark chocolate and dark berries. Full throttle, solid tannins, rich, long finish. Deep garnet and weighty. Plenty of time ahead on this wine.

On day 2 this wine really got into balance, dark fruit, blue fruit, long creamy finish. Extremely good and aged right at this point if you give it some air. Lots of sediment going on so careful how you pour or decant.

- Purple color and aromas of cherry, black currant, blackberry and dusty. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of cherry and black currant with a medium/full body. Bright texture with a long finish.

Impressive cali cab. There are distinct cali trademarks, with some evident oak and rich fruit, though Macauley somehow tones down these elements to create a much more balanced package than the typical cali cab. Delicious with a hearty steak dinner or with no food at all.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Very well made wine, with natural yeast fermentation, bottled unfiltered and unfined. Therefore, it throws off a fair amount of sediment in the glass. The color is ruby, medium plus in intensity and developing. The nose is clean and medium in intensity. The palate is dry, with medium acidity and medium plus alcohol. The tannins are medium plus, as is the body and flavor intensity. The finish is also medium plus in length. This wine has a very smooth, velvety texture and a rich palate of black fruit and dark chocolate. It is drinkeable now, but would greatly benefit from several more years of bottle ageing. A very good but perhaps a tad on the pricey side at $68.00.

Black currant, licorice, smoke, vanilla, good attack and finish, a bit hallow in the mid-palate.
