We got a big fruity zinfandel nose. The fruit on the pallet seemed more in the red fruit than I expect from zinfandels. I usually anticapte that zins will give me a sense of darker fruit. Maybe it is the 10% carignane that gave it the red flavor. Very nice.

Nat cork. A pretty, dark ruby color. Blackberry and rhubarb on a pretty nose, ever so slightly candied, almost a birch beer note, high toned and a bit of glycerin but not offputting. Some peppery spice as well. A lovely tasting wine with ripe fruit - slightly skitteled but fun, the alc is perceptible but not overpowering, nice pepper note builds through the palate.

Wine had a slight spritz. Brooding nose with no overt fruit aromas. Extremely light, silky and elegant on the palate. More like a Burg-lover's zinfandel. I'm thinking this will be far more enjoyable when served with a suitable dinner than being sipped alone. This is my second bottle with consistent notes.

Tasted at the winery. Blue fruit on the nose with subtle mulled spice. Red cherry and red currant notes on the palate that are jammy and juicy, along with notes of earth and cracked pepper. Juicy fleshy tannins and a nice long finish. Very nice.

Very nice and balanced Zin...consumed it with dinner in a supper club so I don't remember too much about the details. Too may Zins these days taste syrupy and this one definitely does not. Nice tannins...probably wil get better with a few more years.

This was an impromptu stop on Westside Road during our RRV trip. We liked it in the tasting room, but were fairly overbought, so I just picked up one. Too bad, I need to get more of this ASAP. Intoxicating nose of black cherry, black pepper, and citrus. Medium weight for a zin, with explosive flavors that match the nose. Generous amounts of black pepper, black cherry, black raspberry, blueberry, with just enough grapefruit to make it interesting. Loved this.

Getting old. Less fruit, less intensity. Don't wait any longer.

In its drinking window. Strong middle palate with soft, silky tannins.

Faded somewhat in the nose and mouthfeel, but still a tasty glass of Zin.

Expressive fruit, rich, but something I don't like about the finish.
