Straw, lemons, orange peel, minerals and petrol in the aromas. Light to medium bodied palate with nice acidity, freshness and fine structure. Ends mediumish and zesty. Will improve with age.

What a wonderful transformation this has had in a year. Beautiful nose of lime, lemon, passionfruit, white flowers, and the early whiffs of petrol. Palate is similar with citrus and some more acidic tropical fruit along with green apple and other white fruits, with floral notes on the background. Acidity, fruit, and mouthfeel perfectly in balance and the finish is lingering much longer too. It does seem riesling doesn't shine until a few years, even if it's on the lower end of the price spectrum.

This has improved since I last tasted it. Wonderfully clean citrus nose with a white floral background. Some gravelly minerals on the nose as well. Palate is very fresh, lime, peach, and white stone fruits, lots of minerality. Wonderful acidity. Finish is just a little short for me, but the palate has more depth than before. One of my favourite aperitifs.

Such a good simple aperitif Riesling, also delicious with seafood starters. Clean and mineral-y in that Alsatian style I love so much. Lemon drop, white florals, hints of apple and quince. Good value for money.

This was so different than Mosel Riesling. Hugels basic food friendly Riesling that had muted, but spiced orchard fruit with some citrus acids that made the mouth water and the saline helped quench the thirst. Such a clean, crisp riesling, I would think this would make an excellent pairing with many sauced foods. We tried it with Indian buttered chicken, which was a mild curry. Made a very nice palate cleanser and left a smile on your face ready for the next bite of food. Good QPR.

Half bottle. Tart, lean lemon at first. Fleshes out to more peach fruit and typical black tea. Soil finish. Very satisfying little bottle for a mere $22 off a wine list.
Half bottle. Full yellow. Piquant, lower pitched citrus and faint scent of black tea. Medium weight with good density and some glycerine giving texture. Orange fruit then transitions to a more lemony finish with saliva-inducing acidity and a bit of salinity. By my recollection, drier and possessing more cut than the '09. Very good.

The wine has the typical character of an Alsatian Riesling. However it does not have the fruit intensity of some of the other wines I have drunk from this region. It is adequate but not great.

Medium intensity aromas of peach, apple and apricot with hints of petrol; developing. Dry Alsatian style, medium body, medium alcohol (12.5%), high acid, medium intensity flavors of peach, pear, apple and apricot with medium length; nice balance of lush fruit with mouth-watering acidity. High priced but very good quality, can drink now but has potential for aging.

Field Trip to Alsace - Hugel (Alsace): Lovely floral aromas of lemon blossom, Gala apple and Alpine meadows. Dry, juicy with vibrant acidity this is light-bodied and slips down a treat.

No fruit, very simple. A bit of spice and wood, oak? Finishes with the woody flavor.
