Raspberry and clay components show nicely but generally seemed much more delicate than your typical petite sirah and hence not too interesting or varietally correct - possibly past its prime or not stored well (bought at auction).

Inky dark voilet. Bouquet of berries and flowers. Peppery. Has developed well tannins well balanced but friut is light. Would not age much more may of been better last year but still very good

Decanted for 24 hrs (opened prematurely!)... then enjoyed over two days. Dark ink color. Nose of lavender and purple fruit. Initial attack is a bit tart, then smooths-out to reveal mixture of blueberry, black berry, plum. Long finish and smooth, but persistent tannins.

Very nice petite with still quite a bit of aging potential. It opened up nicely by the 2nd night, but still too tannic on the first night even after being open an hour.

Big, well-balanced wine. Dark fruit and a little spice on the palate. Very long, pleasant finish. Drank over 3 nights. Best on night 2. Loved this wine!

Deep color, Great Balance, subtle but definite, pleasing nose, just enough tannin and acid to give long lingering taste. At its peak now. Decanted for 1 hour.

Tasting great right now. Good minerality on the nose. Round, ripe dark fruit on the palette with great body, complexity and finish. The wine looks Violet colored.

Dark purple ruby. Nose included raspberry and purple, grapy nuances. It wasn't tight, but it showed a lot over the 3 days it was open. There is more structure here than I initially gave it credit for. Solid finish with ripe but considerable tannins. Good, and will hold for at least a decade, probably more.

Very nice wine. Spice and vanilla on the nose. On the palate, blackberry, plum, and raisin with just a bit of pepper. Long lasting and very pleasant mouth feel. Didn't have with food, very nice just to sip. Decanted for about 30 minutes before drinking

Big difference between this and the previous bottle which I didn't decant. Decanted for about 2 hours before pouring. Tannins have smoothed out beautifully. Pepper is present but subtle. Delicious blackberry and plum with some spices on palate. Lovely lush finish. This is a big well balanced petite sirah. Glad I have one more bottle.

Decanted for approx. 30 minutes before serving 1st glass, subsequent pourings were better as wine had more time to breathe. Dark crimson color with medium legs, the first aroma was quite sweet and somewhat reminiscent of raisins and spices. However the taste was much more mellow, balanced, somewhat tannic and slightly spicy and not as sweet as the aroma would have led us to believe. The finish envelops the entire back pallate. Very pleasant and definately ready to drink now with appropriate decanting.

Big. Plenty of blackberry and some pepper on palate. Lots of tannins...probably should have decanted or at least opened the bottle several hours before drinking. All in all, enjoyed very much.

Seems unintegrated -- maybe past its prime.
