Our Club had its steak and seafood night so after having some chardonnay at the house our group went to the club and proceeded to drink three bottles of cabernet. This, a 2014 Realm Tempest and a 2015 Switchback. This was the star of the show. Opened 4 hours prior to going to dinner and another hour as we drank the Tempest. The nose is all fruit. The palate was berries, figs, currents, tobacco, dried leaves and a touch dried thyme on the finish which was exceptionally long. Unfortunately my only bottle of the 2010 but it was consumed with great friends. I am actually tempted to rate it a 98. So 97+ for last night.

This was amongst the best Cabs I have ever had. This wine was so well integrated, silky, and just the right dark fruit and light earthy notes that I love so much in a big red. It clearly had lots of years left and, I think, It should keep improving with a few more years. I had it open for about 1.5hrs before drinking and drank over another hour - and the last taste was better than the first - if that is even possible.

Might be in a weird spot now. Not like the awesome bootle about 4 years ago. Drank a glass and even waited another 2 hours. Very red fruit palate but overly tart and lacking the sweetness from prior bottles. Still a long finish but lacking the wow factor. Would wait now. Disappointed.

Dark cherry, raspberry, cassis, cloves, tobacco leaf, silky texture, great balance. This was a PnP, but really needs a few hours of air or another 3 years.

Beautiful wine......nose with dark red fruit and currant but notes of mineral within. Soft fruit in every whiff but not a bomb. Moderate in weight with very beautiful soft tannins. I used to drink my Schraders 4-7 but they seem to age wonderfully.

Decanted for 6 hours. This wine is stunning. Lots of power and complex flavors. Tons of blue and black fruit with hints of chocolate, dusty, spice, and a floral note. Would love to revisit this wine in 10+ years.

No formal notes. Incredible. Probably still way to young but I am not complaining. Everything is already coming together. Not quite as accessible as the LPV. But my favorite wine of the night.

This infant is an adult waiting to happen about 25 years from now; it`s got all of the makeup one could ever desire in a Cabernet; power plus, great depth and complexity not yet integrated or balanced and even then, it offers enough to be enjoyed now and for what is shall become.

Structured, rich complex but still too young. Give this 5 to 10 years

WWS 2012 - a few TNs including DRCs, Coche Dury, Rousseau and others; 11/8/2012-11/11/2012 (Villa D’este, Lake Como): Slightly more approachable than the 10 Old Sparky. More blue fruits and cool. Silky palate and long finish.
