Obviously was never a great wine, but with food it was quite drinkable. The 15 years had knocked off all rough edges and a smooth palate was evident. Brick colours were in place and I would not wait much longer.

On the nose there's fruitcake, cassis, green pepper & cocoa powder ~ On the palate it's weighty with moderate acidity & supple tannins with flavors of green pepper, black plums, blackberries & a herbaceousness ~ An enjoyable wine, good value Bordeaux

Still kicking. Nice low$ midweek bordeaux to go with a BBQ steak. Not too complex. Lot's of the fruit i remember from when i tasted many years back is gone. What's left is a simple & somewhat balanced wine, but getting a bit on the soft side.

Maturing hue with a light rim. Ripe cabernet nose, nice little sweetness. Medium body, juicy, round and harmonius, good balance. It has matured nicely over the years, but still has this slight acidic sharpness on nose and palate all my bottles have had - volatile acid? Good bdx at 10 years otherwise. 13% alc.

Too old but signs of a once tasty life. Bricking at the edges, this decent cabernet aromas, but in the mouth, the acidity dominates and it is beginning to dry out. Lacks flesh, though it is better with food.

None of the fustiness which many of its case forebears featured, or the tannin, this wine has matured nicely and now has a pleasant damson and dark berry taste, with a sweet finish remiscent of older, grander wines. This probably only has another year, or maximum two, in which to show at its best, but is a good example of its type.

Soft sweet fruits with a touch of bitterness. 70% CS but very ripe. Lacks the definition to be excellent but worth the £13 it cost. One step up from everyday claret. Drinking well now.

I haven't drunk enough Bdx to know what a really great one should be, but I am fairly sure this isn't it. However this is a pretty good wine nonetheless, it has a little menthol, and black currant and it has a pleasant drying finish. The wine seemed in fairly good condition to me, and I wouldn't be surprised if it can hold on for a few more years.

Nice nose of dark fruit and a little vegtable. Spice and wood on the palate - drinking well, very pleasant. Trial bottle - probably will not buy more - better QPRs out there for us.

nose: good classic nose of cedar, cranberry, tobbacco, and a bit of black currant and some menthol
taste: well balanced and easy with cedar, cranberry, tart cherry, and tobbacco flavors
overall: a solid and well put together wine that is a good value for the vintage. This bottle is holding up, but it should be drunk soon as this obviously isn't a long haul 00. good solid cedary attack with a pleasant tobbacco finish

Pas si mal finalement... Le vin se tient encore, et il est meilleur qu'il y a dix ans. Pas la folie non plus.

A bit dusty, a little pepper on the nose, much better with food. A little light plum flavor, not much complexity

Good nose with floral hints, medium bodied with smooth long finish. Won't improve much with age but very good now.
