Aromas resembling a more subdued sauvignon blanc - grapefruit, citrus, and wildflowers. The palate is quite nice, showing the same flavors, but with a more round and balanced profile as opposed to the sometimes vibrant acidity of a Marlborough sauvignon blanc. Fuller body, more elegant and well integrated with a touch of honeysuckle. Acidity is food-friendly enough, but great on its own. Well worth the price and will seek out this one again for an above average everyday drink.

Fresh, vibrant wine. A bit of pear and flintstone. Neither very compex nor thought-provoking but well-made. Good with any type of seafood. Drink now or in the next three years.

Aromas of peach, apple, pear, wax crayon, lemon, stone and dry grass are pleasant with hints of spice. On the palate this wine is balanced and appealing with flavors of apple pie, lemon zest, peach tones and a nice minerality. Clean with moderate acidity and low if any malo. the finish is clean and juicy. A very food friendly wine

Absolutely no personality nor typicity. Drinking reasonably well but watery and shy. Small nose dominated by peach. On the palate a balanced, short, dry wine with S body, M+ acids and no complexity. Earth and small funk in the end-game. Had same experience as Zweeder. Impression: at the better end of Average. Non-blind. Had immediately fr 1/2-btl.

Decent, lifted nose of citrus, hints of grapefruit and honeydew melon. Dry and fairly straightforward on the palate, plenty of citrus and green apple fruit character. A good everyday wine, nothing spectacular but very reasonably priced.

I have not had much Verdejo in the past, and i was looking forward to something quite interesting. Nose was quite aromatic with yellow and green fruit and hints of spring flowers. Palate was quite simple, but that was that... a simple drinkable wine which fared well with my grilled hake that night.

This is an absolute bargain if you are in to broad, fruity and crispy wines. It combines smashing fruit with mouthwatering acidity. The nose is full of yellow fruit , and the palate likewise, but there is also some green grass and a fantastic acid and just a little hint of bitterness which makes you want to come back for more.

Weekly tasting group #047; Spain (@ BD): Flowers, some citrus, peach and grasses in the bouquet. On the palate the same. Some herbs, lime, and grapefruit, but overall not really convincing. Someone said this must be an off bottle. I am not sure.

Restaurant Casa Marlo, Albacete. Having a japanese lunch with José Manuel. Bright yet light lime colour. Typically Verdejo nose, nothing spectacular anyway. Refreshing palate to match wasabi. Just fair.
En Casa Marlo de Albacete en una comida japo con José Manuel. Color lima brillante aunque ligero. Típicamente Verdejo en nariz, nada espectacular de todos modos. Boca refrescante para matar al picante. Simplemente justita.

Screw cap. The wine was yellow-green in colour. It offered an expressive nose with an intense grapefruit aroma, kiwi, lime, gooseberry, ice bonbon, and grassy notes. On the palate the wine showed grapefruit, lime, gooseberry, pear, some kiwi, and some greenish and steely notes, with medium-level acidity and very good length. The wine seemed a little flabby and lacked structure. I would not exclude that I had mistaken the wine for a Sauvignon Blanc in a blind tasting, but according to the producers its 100% Verdejo. Drink now. (69/84)

This has been the most famous Verdejo-producer from my recent tastings and I thought that it will bring the best flavors to me as well. However, the taste is greener and less exciting than the "Blume-Verdejo" which stays front runner and half of the price of this.
