Last two bottles - couldn’t wait any longer. I would say at its peak now although there is no hurry to drink. Interestingly, what was left in the decanter didn’t last so well into a second day. Medium garnet colour. Complex nose - ripe and dried dark and red fruits, cherry particularly standing out, liquorice, violet, mushroom, forest floor, almost a blood orange edge too. High acidity, fine tannins, long finish.

Not much to add to my last note. Will try to save my remaining two bottles to see how it develops. There is absolutely no hurry to drink.
Medium garnet. Pronounced aromas - dark dried fruit - cherries, cassis, red fruit too - wild strawberry, violet, undergrowth, smoke, mushroom. Developing. Dry palate, high acidity, med+ fine tannins, med alcohol and body, long finish. Rich palate, lots of layers of flavour. This is seriously good village Gevrey Chambertin.

Followed this over a couple of days. Best day two after a night in the fridge after a wine saver spray: integrated, rich, dark black fruit, with mushroom and undergrowth on the nose; rich, full on the palate - much more so than on previous day. Slightly wild Gevrey feel - think Mazis - on day 1 but less on day 2. Also less obvious violet on day 2. Fabulous nose on both days. I am going to (try) to leave my remaining bottles a few years. Even if oak and stems not your thing, this is still pretty exceptional for a village level wine.

Stems, oak, rich but whatever some critics might say this is a wine that could only come from Gevrey - slight horse / wild, violet (from stems?), and shoe polish nose on opening but within an hour integrated, still rich - especially for the vintage - but with freshness and fruit (both red - balsamic strawberry - and black - damson / blackberry jam) driven. Still fresh. Long finish. Great wine, great winemaking and great value - better than many 1er Crus of the vintage. Delicious.

Momentan sehr unharmonisch.

Very broad and spicy nose, almost perfumed, and very expansive. Sweet attack with great pearly acidity. A great surprise, as I haven't tasted this producer before.

Pretty rocking wine with a darker-fruited profile and tinge of oak. Balanced between dark and serious flavors and a elegant more light-hearted body.

Solid village bottle. Interested to see how it develops. Very nice paring with Lamb.
