Great wine, paired with charcuterie fun to try with lots of differnent cheeses! Tastes surprisingly young for 2010, still a lot of fruit and meduim-high tannins. Keeps getting better over time! Excited to try the '06 vintage.

This is still so young. The first CDP I've really enjoyed in a while. A hint of garrigue, some savory notes, and lots of dark fruits. At 14 years old this is still very primary, with lots of fruit and medium tannins. I would have guessed something from the late teens. Really not getting much age here. With a couple hours of air the fruit veers toward boisonberry. This is lovely stuff, and it's sad that this estate doesn't exist anymore.

Nose classic black raspberry pastille, herbal - garrigue. quite floral, too. A bit of a smoky note, too, and some citrus peel - orange, I think. Some asian spice. Palate balanced, if a tad hot and heavy (it is a warm vintage of southern Rhone after all ). good fruit, some secondary herbal notes. Moderately long finish. Hint of astringency - in the best possible way. Tannins largely resolved. This is really well made wine - and on the side of CdP that I still am OK with. I respect it more than I like it, though. Score based on quality, not my liking.

I wasn't blown away but it was fairly typical CdP. Not overtly modern, a lttle surprisingly tannic to start. No perceptible heat, enough blended red berry fruits to make you think the fruit can hang on till the tannin mellows

Wonderful wine that provides everything you expect in a Chateauneuf du Pape. Silky with a generous amount of fruit on the nose and palate, without overdoing it as the savory elements provide great balance. Excellent precision. Each sip was a pleasure. The kind of wine that makes you sad as you finish your last glass. Although we had a bottle remaining in our cellar, we purchased another one to replace the one we drank because it was so enjoyable. We're looking forward to drinking them after some additional aging.

Intense, deep garnet color. Sumptuous nose with blueberry, raspberry, graphite flavors. Syrah shows through on the nose in the form of beef blood.
Rich, spicy, fleshy, and full bodied are just a few words that come to mind when describing this juice. Chateauneuf is almost always concentrated, this one is no exception. Let it open up for an hour or flash decant it, as it's flavors are a bit pent up at first. Very ripe raspberry/ red currant flavors, but granite, graphite, and provencal herbal flavors round it out quite nicely.
After 2 hours this wine is silky smooth with tannins that don't linger, but flavor that lasts for a solid minute and a half.

Excellent Value Young Rhones (SF Wine Trading Company): Medium center. Some perfume but pretty restrained nose. Not a heavyweight. Serious, backward flavors of graphite, blueberry and black fruit with prominent but not tooth-rattling tannins. Traditional wine with blessedly little wood imprint. Excellent and set for a long evolution.

Porty ripeness but not over the top and within CdP standards. Tight but in an hour or so reveals really pretty ripe raspberry and sweet cherry notes with an herbal background. Stony acidity makes it a solid food wine, and on the second day there's an expansive warmth about it. Really rather lovely.

Ripe aromatics with spicy, jammy berries, black cherry, pepper and fresh herbs, the wine combines freshness and clean fruits. Farmed using only organic vineyard techniques, the winery is consulted by Philippe Cambie.

Second bottle was as good as the first. A touch more fruit and this would be 94-95 pts. An elegant CdP.
