A typical Telegraphe. Big on everything except subtlety (or perhaps CNPs don't need subtlety - but they need something surely - depth, possibly). A lot of dark fruit here that is going nowhere.
Always a good drop, but we intellectuals more than that from our wine.

Color was slightly oxidized slight bricking on the rim but it didn't taste any worse for wear. Nice fruit and dark chocolate. Well balanced. Medium finish.

This is nice. Feels a bit young. Lots of red berries, dark forest fruit, not that dark plum/prunes notes that I expected. Good balance and tannins present. Will improve with more bottle time. Good finish.

Needs a bit of air, but after 30minutes opens up to a nice chunky Grenache, light kirsch, juicy acidity. Easy and very satisfying. Drink now or should hold for a while.

Man this is really good. Beautiful red fruits with just a hint of plum; lots of garrigue, anise, some floral scents, and a touch of leather. The palate is beautifully balanced; redolent with red fruits, lots of depth/density. Really just a pleasure to drink. Wish I had more...

(Decanted 1 hour). Second bottling from Vieux Telegraphe. Somewhat tight nose with wild blueberries and cream soda. Very tannic. Blue fruit, but with exotic undertones. I'm having a hard time describing the fruit, which is good because it shows the complexity. Not much garrigue. I think this has higher potential, and needs 3 more years to come together.

Let it open in the glass for twenty minutes. Notes of cherries and dark chocolate. Still has some strong tannins. Should led do well with another couple of years in the cellar.

Same a prior TN's... This is a really nice vintage for this bottling.. Drinking well at this point and has the stuffing to last a tad longer (3-5 yrs) at this level.

Really great french CDnP Jr. Bottling.. Front a great vintage. Lots of Red Berry, with hint of Rhubarb tart tang, great middle palate, with nice bracing acidity. I'd agree with a mild cocoa finish. This bottle is very food friendly and drank as well the second night. Really tasty. Glad i have one more.

Starts out fruit forward with mid palate minerality with a dark chocolate finish. Plenty of tannins with crisp acidity. Drank beautifully now but ail develop in the cellar. Very enjoyable wine.

Deep ruby in color with an intriguing nose of cassis, plum, kirsch, black raspberry, earth, and garrigue notes. The palate is rich and powerful with plenty of tannin that is beginning to come more into play. There is still plenty of fruit and acidity to keep the tannins in check, but compared to the previous bottles I've had of this it seems to maybe be shutting down a bit. Very good. I'd say drink it now if you want to try it young, otherwise give it a good 4-5 years to come around.

“Mixed Bag of Rhône Wines”-Tasting, Flight 2, Wine 2 (non-blind), in January 2014. The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered ripe red fruit, strawberry, some blackberry, some liquorice and earthy notes on the nose. On the flavourful palate the wine showed cherry, strawberry, blackberry, spices, some liquorice and roasted notes, paired with medium-plus acidity and medium-level medium-fine, well-integrated tannin. The finish lasted very long. A medium- to full-bodied, medium-complex, reasonably balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The wine can be consumed now, and also showed potential for further development in bottle over the next three to four years. The QPR worries me a little bit though. 88+

Delicious notes of red currant, raspberry, and red cherries with underlying stony minerals. Some earth notes develop with more aeration. The palate is fantastic with rich fruit, ripe tannins that are well integrated, and a delightful acidity that leaves you longing for the next sip. Absolutely delicious to drink and a great food CNP. Can't wait to see what the first wine has in store.

Big wine, very tannic at first but with fruit behind. Good balance for a heavyweight. Pop and pour, improved a lot over 3 hours with dinner. Long keeper, drinkable now with air.

Started off a little thin. Picked up considerable weight with air. Very typical CdP flavors - licorice, garrigue, dark fruit. Low acidity, moderate tannin, medium bodied.
A pretty good CdP, but not a very good value.

Grenat plutôt clair.
Au nez, fraises, framboises, mures, épices.
En bouche, beaux fruits mures, légèrement confiturés, tanins veloutés, longueur moyenne. Beau vin. Prochaine dans 2-3 ans.
