La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): Walk around tasting. Magnum. Enchanting aromatic start with so much spice and a complex array of berries. Similar flavor profile is rich without showing particular power, but very spiced, bright, and lithe, ending with great length and a finessed finish.

Zachy's La Paulee 2022 (Le Bernardin Prive): Magnum 24/72. Evidently more weight than the 01 Chaumes, more lacy, concentrated, and very spicy. To me it misses the cherry on top in terms of the in-your-face intensity of the terroir; good but not great. 93

Paulee Vertical tasting, just as good as last year (or was it 3 years ago??) tremendous spice and dark red fruit, both nose and palate are exceptional. i had a hard time choosing between this and the 07 which i think is a little more enjoyable today while this may be longer lived

La Paulée de New York - The Verticals (Eventi Hotel - New York NY): tasting from magnum, brief note. Spice galore with red and black berries in great harmony, with unfolding layers. Still a little shy, this is so great now but will reward 5+ more years int he cellar. Probably my favorite wine of the tasting. 95-96 point potential.

From Magnum. The nose is complex; showing aromas of dark red fruits, spices, flowers, minerals and a hint of sexy oak. This is medium full bodied on the palate with excellent concentration and outstanding finesse. The long finish features sophisticated tannins and fresh acidity. A stunning wine!

La Paulée de New York: Vertical Tasting (Rainbow Room - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Massive spice aromatic start. Great red fruit aromas and flavors.. Very elegantly textures with incredible reserve and balance. A great wine in the making. I liked this a lot when tasted 4 years ago, and find it even more alluring today.

The Verticals at La Paulée 2017 (The Rainbow Room, New York): Magnum. Light core. More smoky than the '08. Sweeter red fruit, a little soil, much more textural allure. Medium tannins and length. Although the ripe fruit is appealing, it doesn't seem to have the balance or depth of the best 2010's.

La Paulée de NY Verticals Tasting (Kimpton Hotel Eventi): Magnum. My favorite of the 12/10/08 vertical. Similar to the '12 in flavor profile but much more open-knit, plush and intense. Already delicious. 93+

Quick Impressions from the 2019 La Paulée Verticals Tasting (Eventi Hotel, New York): Magnum. Pale. Light bodied, delicate, sweet and supple, excellent citric twist. Finer and higher acid than the 2012. Potentially outstanding, but still needs time.

An amazing melange of herbal flavors on the smokey nose. Palate combines power with elegance, remarkable power, energy and length.

La Paulée de New York: Vertical Tasting (Colicchio & Sons - New York NY): Tasting. Big red and black fruit with anise and cloves. Very charming and well textured. Fun and pleasurable today, but with serious structure for the long-term.

La Paulée de New York 2013 Verticals Tasting (Colicchio & Sons, New York): Incredible nose, amazingly fragrant, flowers, red fruit, fair bit of toast, palate is very firm, red fruited, some toast. A "wow" wine for me, and the clear star of the lineup.

(Most of) The Burgundy Verticals Tasting at La Paulee 2013 (Colicchio & Sons, New York): Magnum. Attractive blackberry. Light, high acid, simple fruit and some wood. Not very good in terms of feel, concentration or length. One of the more underwhelming samples of 2010 Premier Cru.
