The structural elements have done their work and the resulting wine has a harmonious combination of primary and tertiary elements with a blue to black fruit profile. That being said, you can tell the inherent limitations of PS compared to other ageworthy red grapes and I'm going to accelerate consumption out of the cellar in order to catch the primary fruit in fuller bloom.

Deep ruby to garnet red. Dark cherries on the nose with a little cherry liquor and dark perfume. Medium minus body with medium tannins (6.5/10). A little confused with the lighter body. Well balanced acidity with dark berries, peppercorn and some earthiness. Long finish. Drink till 2030.

Gorgeous, effusive nose or blueberrries and both red and black currant and spicy floral notes, you want to smell this for hours. It’s brightly juicy and acidic in the mouth, more blue and black fruit. Juicy, persistent finish. The tannins that were so powerful in its youth are finally letting go. Finally ready to drink and rewarding the patient.

Bplant13 below has pretty much nailed it. Blueberries, fresh acidity, and delicious. I'm looking for a little more depth and power from a Foley PS, but that's a matter of personal preference.
Blueberry pie! From the nose, to the body to the blue staining of the glass, and your teeth! Beautifully balanced, it’s not as heavy as you’d expect. Great fruit, fresh acidity and integrated tannins. Glad I have another bottle!

Decanted for an hour. Deep purple color, blackberry and blueberry with eucalyptus on the nose. Big body full of black and blue berry. Just enough acidity to lighten up such a big wine. Well integrated tannins. Good 30 second finish.

I opened this bottle tonight, thinking I was opening my '04 bottle. The color is opaque purple, with perhaps a little bricking. It was heavily sedimented, leaving lots of sediment behind in the bottle and the filter of my decanter The nose was almost nonexistent- all I could smell was alcohol. On the palette, the fruit was subdued and there's an extremely tart acidity- too tart to the point of tasting harsh and artificial. Its been decanting an hour and doesn't seem to be improving. I went ahead and opened the '04 bottle and already its much more promising than this one. I'm guessing this was not as good a year. I'll update if further decanting improves this one.
Dark garnet to purple. Very pretty mint , violets, and then just fills the glass with cherry, spice , and crisp acidity. This seems to focus more on the fresh red fruit and the cherries and not pepper and dark fruit. Really good and fun to drink. Should continue on for years, but if it wasn't my only bottle I would have trouble leaving it alone .
Purple in color, med high acid, med high tannin. No bricking. Appears young, good staying power. Aromatics are mint, fruit & floral. Less of a mid palate killer. More fruit and tannin. Dark blueberry/ blackberry. Would have expected more pepper but it's not there. Loved it.

Surprisingly refined given its zany 16.5% alcohol level. Delivers an array of enjoyable aromatic/flavor notes - blueberries, toasted oak, and dark red fruit. Flavor-driven for sure. Delivers on what it's supposed to be: A full-throttle tough guy wine with underlying depth and finesse. Paired wonderfully with an au poivre burger.

Robert Foley Wines (The Wine Spot): Bask to one label after experimenting with two in 06. I liked this but it seems to be a bit shut down at the moment. Not much to offer so I kept swirling my glass until it opened up. The nose has blackberries with some cocoa and also some dried meat qualities. Lovely full bodied texture. Certainly a massive Petite syrah which just layers and layers of fruit, blackberry, blueberry, plum, black cherry, i was expecting more tannin but it had a fairly crisp demeanor, complex with a structure that will improve with more time, very tight on the open, so i would decant 1 - 2 hours, low 90s with upside. -S

Drunk w/o decanting, which was a mistake. This is a young Foley beast of wine that needs to breath (a lot). Nearly pitch black, extremely extracted: huge black fruits, a bit of pepper, nice acidity, and the thickness of 10W30. I just reread my last review, which said the '06 was bigger and better. I don't recall (senility and/or the alcohol kicking in), but given how good this was, I'm going to retaste the '06.

Blueberry jam, crude oil, and thick as molasses. Needed to decant, and the aeration of penny of time in the glass was not enough. We'll see how the other 3/4 bottle of wine is tomorrow, but this still needs lots of time.

Apparently I'm either an easy grader or in the holiday spirit, but we had this yesterday and it was significantly better than the Goosecross Aeros IMHO. Very closed at first--definitely not a PNP. Yet after aerating and decanting and waiting a couple hours, this was a monolithic blueberry monster with exceptional length and superb tannin structure. Rumor has it that THE BOB bestowed a 95 on this wine and said it could go decades. If it pales in comparison to the 2006 as others have written, that must be one kickin' wine.

It's been over a year since llyarsdad posted the first CT note on this wine...and each word still applies. This wine is still a baby and hasn't budged since release. Nice initial palate but a long palate with acidity and thinness in th le finish even though it last for a long time.
It doesn’t have the body and depth that I was hoping for (even though I tasted blind). Body medium -/ thinning.
