Medium body with light tannin structure, very tight at opening, high acidity and no discernable tannin structure. Left a glass for about an hour and bright red fruits began to develop, with little improvement on the tannin structure of the wine. Some slight development over the next hour as we sipped through the bottle, but an otherwise underwhelming wine.

Drank from Bin North 14. In cellar since 9/11/2011. $68.00 at winery Oakville CA. Hint of oak on nose. Deep dark purple. Dry presentation light oak, fruit absent. Past prime but pleasant old wine. 3/10.

This was outstanding for a 10 year old bottle of Mondavi Vine Hill. I was really not expecting it to be this good. Sorry I did not take notes....just remember clean cherry fruit, leather, and a long finish. No heat at all but a little spice/structure...enough to keep it from being fat. Wish I had more.

Deep color. On the nose, this is a bit reserved showing cassis, dark cherry, flowers, oak, and leather. This is full bodied on the palate, with excellent concentration and good elegance. Suprisingly balanced for such an extracted wine. The finish is fairly long, showing sophisticated tannins and good acidity. However the oak tannins are a bit gritty.

pretty amazing wine, especially for the price point. not as refined and grassy/mildewy as the mondavi reserves...but a big wine with a grand structure--sort of in the same vein as stag's leap cask 23, fay, or slv...like it as much anything i've had from mondavi!!! great value and something that tastes like it should be at least $100!!!

Although getting a little thin, this wine is drinking remarkably well for it’s age. Drink up.

Medium bodied cabernet with dark fruit and cassis on the palate. Decent finish leaving you wanting for more. Overall, this is a pretty damn good wine!
