This is in the only LC we have truly enjoyed, I wish I had more. It almost has a port nose. The palate is smooth dark fruit, no port flavors. Just deliciousness.
I wish our other LCs were as tasty.

Popped and poured. Took a good hour to open up. Initially closed highly acidic and tannic with a bit of a vegetal? non-fruit taste. I almost lost hope but then it opened. Tart blackberry type fruit with a bit of a dusty hard bite at the end.
Decently enjoyable once it opened but more of a steak wine than a wine that is good on its own. It may improve with age - but there is a worry that the acids/tannins are just too strong and the fruit will disappear without the acid/tannin integrating.

Popped and poured. Very smooth on the palate. A bit of menthol on the nose, but not off putting. Wild cherry and a bit of nuttiness on tha palate. It is fruit forward but not like an Orin Swift wine. Delicious.

This starts with a spicy dark fruit nose and the wine just keeps getting better. The flavors are a complex mix of spice, dark fruit in a luscious rich combination. It has a long, lipsmacking finish, the kind that leaves you hoping you have more wine in your glass. I've had concerns about 2010 and 11 wines, from Washington south to Paso, but this bottle is not soft or light and doesn't give any evidence of coming from a cool vintage. With it's velvety mouth feel this is a stand out wine.

pnp on 2/14 and it was so closed there was little to comment on. Half a bottle recorked and left on the counter until 3/3. Re-opened with no real expectation that it would still be drinkable but it had opened up and was excellent. Subtle fruit with some lingering tannin, a real surprise.

Jammy dark fruit, syrup like in the mouth - serious this wine is dense, dark, and brooding. Takes some time to open. The flavors are great with a chocolate spice kick on the finish. Years to go.

Intense and superb. Blackberry pie a la mode. Leather, bittersweet chocolate, schnapps, heavy cream, Knott's Berry Farm boysenberry jam, roasted herbs.
The creamy fruit is sweet and dominant, but the acidity gives it cut and lift. The energetic finish is electric at first, then cool, rich, and satiny.
A little more complexity and balance would be required for this to be a world-class wine, but it's not far off right now. A real triumph.

This was even better than I remembered it from the tasting room. Amazing flavor and mouth feel. I wish I would have bought more and will be sure to do so on the next release. I did not try it straight out of the bottle, and my first taste was after a 2 hour decant.

We bought this at LC back in March. We liked it and thought it would be a good wine to have, something a little different. We did not remember it being as good as it was though. This was a fantastic wine, very smooth when opened and even better with about an hour of breathing. Now we wish we had bought more than three bottles. The nose was lacking a little but that did not stop us from enjoying it. We will be saving the remaining bottles for aging.

Consistent with previous note, seems to be starting to even out on the jammy notes.

Smooth profile and much better the second day. Rich, dark fruit profile. Nice but was expecting a bit more complexity.

Once again it does not disappoint. Popped and poured and while it could have used a decant, it was still fantastic. Big dark fruits.
