Initially, tasted blind. Smelled a little leafy/stemmy, with red cherries and some heat, despite listing at 14% and change. Then, the smell of cork taint hits. Not off the charts but there. Tasting the wine, same gig. Muted flavors and a wine that is sagging under TCA. Bummer

I found it to be similar in style to a Loring. Drank from the bottle. Dark ruby red in color. Pinot aroma of funk, spice, and cherry. You can smell the heat from the alcohol. Thick feel in the mouth. Flavors of dark cherry and cola with a sweet mid-palate. It became better after about 15 minutes in the glass, so decanting is probably a good idea for my next bottle. There was heat on the finish that I think a few more years in the bottle might cure.

Drinking nicely now with a little age characteristic as evident by its citrus nose. Nicely balanced wine still showing a good amount strawberry fruit.
