I love this Lagrein, year-in, yearout. 2009 continues to evidence impressive complexity along with the rustic power I associate with Porphyr. Delicious and complex, with rich notes of bacon, raspberry and sweet spice. Lovely texture. No rush to drink.

Pure, layered and impressively complex, with rich notes of bacon, raspberry and sweet spice. Lovely texture. Likely will improve with more bottle years. The most nuanced vintage of the Porphyr I've encountered.

too young, nice dark berry fruits, just primeur aromas, lasts 5-8 years.soft tannins, heavy body, but a kind of elegance. matched not so good to the goose as the Amarone, but the better wine
